A fantastic strong grapefruit "tobacco" scent; I love it!

It strongly reminds me of Salvatore Ferragamo for Men (in the red box). I do like it.

It gives off the same vibe as D&G The One....except longevity and projection/sillage with CNH is crazy, I mean ridiculously crazy!!!!

It may be a lil too strong for my liking tho.

Cinnamon and plum was what I was mainly getting from this. I thought it was bit loud and brash, nice but not to my taste.

I was given an official sample at Barney's a while ago and have used it twice, I can also say I do like it.

I have it in my Try Again Later list. I LOVED it, but it didn't matter how I applied it, unless I put my nose directly on my skin, I couldn't smell it. I'm not the best with ingredients/notes/whatever...for me, I get mental images from frags. Costume National Homme made me feel like I was in an ancient European library surrounded by leather-bound classics.

I had it, was not wowed by it, and sold it off. Did not wear it much.

When I first spayed it on - I thought it was WAY too overpowering. But after a short while, it dries down quite nicely.

Not one of my all time favorites, but quite nice. Apply sparingly!

I am not getting any leather out of it. The opening is very bright with the Grapefruit and Bergamot and getting some of the sandalwood on drydown, but no leather at all.

I'm not claiming to smell leather...I'm saying that when I smell CN Homme, I picture myself in that scenario. Probably with a tweed jacket as well It has an antique-y smell to me...or like old books. However, it didn't smell like DUSTY, old books to me, but something classier; hence, leather-bound.

But no, I do not actually smell leather.

    Two questions about this frag:

    (1) Does the bottle not come with any cap? All the pictures I see of CNH are without the cap. I can't imagine that all these pictures are of tester bottles...

    (2) Would it be fair to call it a Cardamom-prominent scent?

    1. Yes there is a cap that is molded like the sprayer

    2. I would say that this prominent cinnamon scent

A staple in my fall wardrobe

Homme is nice but Scent Intense is the best from this house.

I ordered this yesterday and received it today. The dry down reminds me of a much stronger Calvin Klein Obsession Night so much, but with a strong smell of cloves and cinnamon. Couldn't complain at the price though compared to the rrp by ordering it from here. http://www.perfume-click.co.uk/After...ational/Homme/

Great to see Costume National Homme has a good following. It is one of my favorite cool weather frags. Starts off pretty pungent and loud but settles down to a smooth cinnamon and clove that has garnered many compliments. Will always have a bottle in my collection.

Neutral to me. Probably cinnamon in too prominent, I find it slightly brash the way Grey Flannel could be.
    Cool bottle, though...

I just got a sample vial of this yesterday and am wearing today. I'm digging it so far, and it has passed the test with my boss... I mean my wife.
