Beet lifted jasmine, the way a bullnecked partner lifts a ballerina, and the pair came on stage on citron's fluty cue. Hello all. With senore01 in Tom Ford - wearing a sample of Black Orchid with a touch of Voile de Fleur on the back of the hand. VdF is a is a big floral fragrance - bit too much like Fracas, which I don't get on with either. I feel I should be wearing killer heels, big shoulder pads, have my hair tied back in a severe bun and be bossing underlings around.

Devilcat; I'm not too keen on Black Orchid or Voile de Fleur either, but I love Fracas But I do see some resemblance.

Caron Pour un Homme by Caron

I sat up late last night, reading threads on Caron Pour Un Homme and it's vintage/new comparisons, so this morning I really wanted to wear it. I did, as another Basenoter suggested, and sprayed it very close to my skin (holding the trigger an inch away from my skin), so instead of aerating the scent onto my skin, I was sort of dousing it. It actually does yield different results - not so caramelic, vanilla based - much more lavender-centric, medicinal. Nice!

Different Company Bois d'Iris for me today. I have my early morning meeting with us all crammed into a small office, so this one should not offend. Unless the cedar is too sharp for someone. But I think this is great!

Good afternoon. I started the working day-which I knew would have been tough- with leathery Chambre Noire.
After a delirious meeting with co-workers, I needed something uplifting, so... I went straight to Etro shop, after school, and bought Heliotrope. Love it!!! Also got several samples, and I'm now wearing, apart Heliotrope, disconcerting Messe de Minuit on left wrist and interesting Shaal Nur on the right one. My partner wears Gomma...The bad mood has been beaten by the power of scents!

Saw PotL Luctor et Emergo sample on the nightstand this morning and decided to go with that? Sometimes it smells a lot like Farnesiana on my skin, so I've never been able to commit to a bottle. I wonder if there is a really good dupe out there?

Oh my, well thank you very much! Do you like Chanel, gandhajala? I hadn't noticed ...lol.

Actually, I must admit that I thought of you as I refreshed my No5 from earlier with a bit of 80s edp. I rarely do that, you know ....refresh the same scent, that is.

Thanks for asking! She ate something that didn't agree with her last night and we had a lot of calls back and forth.

Today I went over to check on her, and to watch another DVD together, as distraction seems to be the most effective way of helping her cope with the headaches. I concluded from reading on the Web that she had graduated from the earlier headaches, caused by her fall in September, to rebound headaches, caused by taking ibuprofen for too many days in a row.

Oddly enough, the OTC pain meds only cause headaches if they were being taken to treat headaches-- not if they were being taken to treat, say, arthritis pain. Since I cut out the ibuprofen on Sunday, her symptoms are subsiding, but not fast enough to suit her. I anticipate watching lots more DVDs with her in days to come.

Diorissimo again! Got a compliment on it by a classmate yesterday; she said she detected patchouli, but that could have been my deodorant, which is patchouli (had no idea if anyone else could smell it or not!).

    Have a great day, friends!

I haven't worn any fragrance the entire day! There were men here this morning on the doorstep like five minutes after I opened my eyes to work on the master bathroom. They've been here all day. They're installing new light fixtures, a big long heavy mirror, new faucets...I wish they would go away now and come back tomorrow! I want to get at my fraggies and have my bed/bathroom back to myself. I haven't had a shower today. There was still a bit of Pearl Musk left over from last night, but I can't smell it anymore. I may jump into the jacuzzi tub after they leave. I never take baths, though I love them, because the jacuzzi bath is too big, and the guest bath tub is too short to really stretch out in. These troubles are small, I know. The bathroom reno is the Mister's baby, not mine. But he has good taste and it's looking great. He's doing it for house sale purposes, though. If it were just for me, I'd want the giant jacuzzi gone and one of those slipper tubs on feet, or maybe one of those ones that look like a Roman sarcophagus and come up to your shoulder when your in it. Total immersion, but not a swimming pond. So...I'm enjoying sniffing all of you in here. You all smell wonderful. Me, getting a little ripe here, lol!

Waving at Hedonist. Hope you're having fun on vacation.
