Tom Ford for sure!
Looking for a new rose scent in my collection. Which is the better scent generally and which one is more suitable for dates?

Tom Ford for sure!
Noir de Noir is a crazy compliment getter so id go with that one for sure. smells great
Noir de Noir for sure. Dark rose and cocoa, very sensual and perfect for dates.imho.
There are a lot of great Rose fragrances out there. NdN is certainly one you couldn't ever go wrong with. Maybe too heavy for a warm summer / formal date, but works great 95% of the time.
While not as well received on Basenotes, TF Cafe Rose is also a great rose fragrance, and a little softer. May want to look into that one also. Personally, I like that one a lot also.
Current Spring Favorites:
1. Creed - Spice & Wood
2. by Kilian - Straight to Heaven
3. Dior - Vetiver
4. Clive Christian - 1872 for Men
5. Tom Ford - Grey Vetiver
6. Ermenegildo Zegna - Haitian Vetiver
7. Les Nez - Turtle Vetiver Back
8. Tom Ford - Rive d’Ambre
9. Creed - Green Valley
10. Parfumerie Generale - Grand Siecle Intense 7.1
Very different animals, one is incensy (the Tauer), and one is gourmand (Noir de noir). Both excellent, so it's really a matter of which of the two things you want. I have no experience in the dating field, but I suspect gourmand would probably be safer.
Of the two: Tauer Incense Rose IMO.
Incense Rose is a simple fragrance yet it's incredibly distinctive.

Incense Rose all the way!!
I have Noir and just took delivery of IR today and love it! I'd still go with Noir overall since i feel its more versatile, however IR is very exotic and i can see it turning a lot of heads. Both are amazing scents and bottle worthy imo.
I couldn't stand the fizzy top notes of incensé rose, they were quite nauseating for me. The drydown is too much incense to call it a "rose" fragrance. I prefer Noir de Noir.
... And do me a favor - don't disturb my friend. He's dead tired.
Welcome to the Bwahahaha! era...
TUM TUM PISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
both of them are great, but i'll go for rose 31 instead

Noir de Noir, by forever and a mile. If you're looking for a smoky rose then Café Rose which is an amazing fragrance as well, better than Incense Rose. If you're looking for actual rose, Rose31 isn't the way to go. More amazing male roses include Lumière Noire Pour Homme by Maison Françis Kurkdjian & Sospiro Duetto by Xerjoff
Noir de Noir
I have not tried Incense Rose; however, I also have yet to try a Tauer frag that I've enjoyed. Meanwhile, NdN is very, very nice. It was a LITTLE too "rosey" for me at first, but it's grown on me. As stated earlier, it also received many, many comments from my wife. One of the few I've worn where she's actually asked to keep smelling me
"We don't fail because we aim too high and miss, but because we aim too low and hit" - Les Brown
"When you're all alone, when no one is watching, and there's no one around to impress, that is who you are" - Greg Laurie
I would say both are distinct enough in their own right to own. Kind of apples and oranges though really. Completely different takes on rose. I own NdN, but am heavily considering a purchase of Incense Rose at the moment.

I haven't tried Incense Rose and I like Noir de Noir.
I'd also suggest checking out Lumiere Noire by MFK and Rose 31, both are excellent masculine rose scents.
Noir de Noir starts off really nice but the drydown is very synthetic and sickly, Tauer incense rose is very well composed throughout. So I would say Tauer Incense Rose.
I would go with Noir de Noir. I was a bit disappointed with IR, the rose note was too prominent for me. Noir de Noir was well balanced with the dark vibe of rose, coffee, and chocolate.
Get them both. Tauer preferable to me.
Damn... Noir de Noir by a country mile! ( Whatever that means? ).
My current top ten:
1. Oud Wood
2. Straight to Heaven
3. Epic Man
4. Santal 33
5. Tonka Imperial
6. Pure Malt
7. Jubilation XXV
8. L'air Du Desert Marocain
10. Terre D'Hermes
