winter - chergui
spring - git
summer - adp colonia
fall - gucci ph 1
wc - rive gauche
no such thing as everyone has completely different tastes and since I'm not into the too "out there" stuff my recommendation would seem generic to a lot of the community
winter - chergui
spring - git
summer - adp colonia
fall - gucci ph 1
wc - rive gauche
Several that I enjoy and associate with specific seasons:
Winter - Norne (Slumberhouse)
Spring - Aventus (Creed)
Summer - Selection Verte (Creed) and TdH Pure Perfume
Autumn - Sycomore (Chanel)
Wildcard - Windsor (Creed)
Fall/Winter: Angel Man Pure Leather (Mugler) (use Axe Dark Temptation Wash/Deodorant to compliment it)
Spring/Summer: Wood Rocky Mountain Wood (D Squared) (Use Old Spice Fiji Wash/Deodorant),
Spring/Summer: Fahrenheit (Dior) (Use Bath and Body Works Dark Amber and Twilight Woods for Men to compliment)
Wild Cards: Joop, Aramis
Looking for a great Fall/Winter cologne to have some variety that reflect my tastes; looking for projection, longevity, distinction, between 50 and 100 dollars.

I don't believe in breaking them up by seasons or by notes for the most part, but I do sort them my own way. My tastes are a bit less sophisticated/complex than many here, but maybe more "functional"
Every man should have a romantic scent: YSL La Nuit de l'homme, LIDG
Aquatics aren't popular here, but some are nice, and women love them: Bvlgari Aqva
Big, sophisticated, and complex for when you feel that way: LIDGE, YSL M7
Just because: Gucci Pour Homme II, Tom Ford Grey Vetiver,
Smell great in the office, out with the guys, casual date: Dior Homme Sport, 2008 or 2012, best of the sport genre and incredibly versatile, 2008 being a bit lighter and sportier, 2012 being a bit more romantic

Tom Ford Tuscan Leather
Fredric Malle Portrait of a Lady
Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille

2. Dolce&Gabbana pour homme
4. Versace Dreamer
5. Versace Man
I'll start with designers:
Dior Homme Intense
L'Air Du Desert Marocain
Memoir Man tied w/ Philosykos
Top 5 Winter Frags:
1) Tabac Rouge
2) Scent of Peace for Him
3) Amyris Homme

Great choices everyone!

I agree lists are fun and very informative for people trying to build a collection or fill a void in their fragrance wardrobe.
Spring- Osacar for Men
Summer- Guerlain Vetiver
Fall- Encre Noir
Terre d' Hermes parfum
Gucci PH II
Dolce & Gabbana PH
Prada Man Amber
Jean Paul Gautier
Hermes vetiver Tonka

L occitane eau de baux-TV
Mont Blanc Individuel-Original Santal
Michael Jordan Leyend -Bond no9 New Harlem
Victoria sexy for him platinum
Okay, I'll bite. Assuming we jettison anything too expensive / hard to find:
Oscar for Men by Oscar de la Renta ("fresh", but with some personality)
Burberry London (a winter/fall fragrance - synthetic, but with great blending)
Lolita Lempicka au Masculin (the only gourmand I can stomach through a full day)
Dior Fahrenheit (unique and strangely versatile)
YSL Kouros (for the challenge, or for the love if already a fan...)
I love these threads! I'll done for niche and one for designer. I'd go:
Winter: Tobacco Vanille/ A*Men
Spring: GIT/ Allure Homme Edition Blanche
Summer: MI/ Chrome (I actually enjoy Chrome)
Fall: Pure Malt is all I need
Wildcard: Aventus/ Bleu de Chanel
Best 5 I've ever smelled in no particular order.
1. Aramis Tuscany (Original)
2. Carolina Herrera Men (Original)
3. Puredistance M
4. Invasion Barbare
5. Patou Pour Homme (Original)
Game, Set, Match.
There are no Must-Haves, in my opinion. Buy what you love, and only you can know what you love. But this is my list of 5 that really should be tried. And when I say tried, I don't mean smelled. I mean sampled and worn.
- Dior Homme
- Green Irish Tweed
- Knize Ten
- Old Spice (Yes, really)

Summer- Parfums De Rosine, Rose d'Homme
Fall- Dior Homme Intense
Wildcard- PG 02 Coze
Winter: Tobacco Vanille. I'd be quite content if this were my only fragrance from November-February. Honorable mention: Egoiste.
Spring: Aventus. It says, "Yeah, the heavy days of winter are over but I'm still a force to contend with." It's a great transition from the heavier winder scents to the fresh and light summer selections. Honorable mention: Bleu de Chanel or Dior Homme Eau (which, the more I wear, the more I enjoy).
Summer: it's a tie! Le Labo Bergamote 22 or Chanel Allure Homme Sport Cologne. The AHS cologne is rapidly becoming my go-to Chanel. After a shower at the gym, it's simply perfect.
Fall: Hello, Dior Homme Intense! Welcome back to the rotation. Honorable mention: L'Instant de Guerlain.
Winter: New Haarlem
Summer: Aqua Fahrenheit
Fall: Pure Havane
Wildcard: Pure Malt
Here's my selection in no particular order...

First, I think it's important to determine how you wish to categorize. Some would say by season, some perhaps by occasion, while I would do so by accord genre (can't recall technical term anymore)...
1. Aquatic: Agua de Loewe El
2. Woody: Lalique Encre Noire
3. Spicy: Dior Aqua Fahrenheit
4. Floral: Salvatore Ferragamo PH
5. Citric: Roger & Gallet Open
After all these years around this hobby, I realized I like lavander, vetiver and patch, that I regard longevity and sillage - wise scents as off puting and that inexpernsive options can be well complimented.
Based on these facts, if I'd have to choose only five scents, these would be my options:
Lavander: Caron´s Pour Un Homme or lavander water from a local high-end haberdasher (James Smart's Leslie).
Vetiver: Guerlain's. Vintage Carven's is better, but discontinued.
Patch: any good quality patch oil or Givenchy Gentleman or Coromandel or Fueguia's Caoba or Fueguia's Otro Poema de los Dones - in all cases, applied very lightly.
Tradtional Eau de Cologne or Eau de Cologne-like scents: Dior's Eau Sauvage or Monsieur de Givenchy or Chanel pour Monsieur or "Colonia Tradicional Inglesa" (Traditional English Style Eau de Cologne) from a high-end haberdasher.
