Thread: Suggestions needed....
Looking for a great all around fragrance. I want something with good longevity and projection. I repeat longevity and projection are a must. Looking for something masculine but not offensive. Something that can be a signature scent that is appealing to most. Something that's versatile for all occasions and all seasons. Something that will make woman say "damn that man smells good". If you check my wardrobe I have frags that are good for special occasions mainly. The frags that I have that are
Dolce & Gabbana pour homme (good projection and longevity)
Bond Chez Bond (decent longevity)
Montale black aoud (some like some don't..but longevity is good and projection is good)
Tom Ford Oud Wood (my date scent)
Black Orchid (another date scent)
Montale blue amber (not a fav of my gf)
Montale Woods and Spices (my gf loves this and so do I)
La Nauit( gf loves it but its manily a winter scent)
Terre d'Hermes Parfum (not great projection but I like it..mainly for summer)
Prada amber pour homme (not great longevity)
Eau de Baux (gf likes it but longevity isn't great)
I was considering Bleu de Chanel and Aventus. Gf likes both. Both are good and I plan on adding both to my collection but not what I'm looking for right now per se.
Don't like Dior Homme or Chanel Egoiste or any of their flankers.
What would you suggest. Preferably something I can test. Thanks

Green Irish Tweed certainly fits the bill.
Freshers scents like Bleu and Aventus aren't really the best for longevity. The Montale ouds are known for longevity and projection - hard to beat them, and since you have and like TF oud, you should be ok. Examples are Black Aoud, Aoud Lime, and Aoud Cuir d'Arabie.
Other materials that are extremely long lasting are leather and immortelle. For immortelle (which is sweet) there's Goutal Sables. For leather, several, from Estee Lauder Azuree to the classic Knize Ten.
How about Le Male...I feel its lavender and mint qualities can make it work for warmer weather too....it's very well received, lasts and projects, and is sexy vanilla yet masculine.
L'Instant de Guerlain Extreme and Midnight in Paris are my other recommendations
