Thread: Sandalwood Perfume
I'm working on a perfume that consists entirely of woods plus supporting synthetics and I'm looking for a way to "amplify" sandalwood. I've included cedar, cedryl acetate, kephalis, cedramber, vetiveryl acetate, methyl ionone and a few different naturals. The result is a lovely perfume but it lacks sillage and persistance. Does anyone have any ideas how I can improve both? Are there synthetics I don't know about that would support sandalwood without smelling cheap?
