    Default Chergui's Lemon Note

I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but to me, Chergui has a prominent lemon note or astringent quality present throughout its development. Does anyone have an idea where this astringency may come from? I know lemon is absent in the perfume's notes, but I still can't help but feel that it has some. Perhaps it is the incense?

Personally don't detect any lemon when I smell it.

Not sure. I don't know if this lemon is really present or not-- it may jut be the articulation between the iris and honey.

it's certainly the newest formulation then and though i dont remember lemon from the newest formulation it could have something along those lines in it. i remember the newest chergui being very strange, almost cold, lacking the warmth of its earlier incarnations. it seemed unusually dry and ... well i really dont know the right word... perhaps astringent. yes, thats precisely it.. so perhaps something about this astringency is lending itself to a lemon type vibe.

There's nothing that could be perceived as lemony or citric.
