    Good Saturday morning, all.

Woke up thinking of wet tropical florals (we are freezing here, at -2C, clear and dry). How about Guy Laroche Fidji?

Hugs to Kiliwia. Hope you feel better soon.

Morning lucasai - right back at ya with those vibes! No snow here although my in-laws in Scotland have had a dusting. That's a nice bag iivanita, pearls and Timbuktu, what else does a gal need? Wish my bag interior looked like that.

Hermèssence Ambre Narguilé for me today.

I have been trying a sample of Alien Aqua Chic.
Very nice actually and long lasting too.

    Good morning!

Cold here, with snow on the ground from Thursday. Looks like it will be staying this time.

    (((Twolf)))

Everyone on the east coast, take care and stay safe!!

SotD is Stephanie de Saint-Aignan Berberiades, from a decant. With notes including citrus,
sandalwood, Virginia cedar, jasmine, ginger, saffron, caraway, amber and incense.
It's a very nice amber with a touch of incense.

    Have a nice Saturday, everyone!

Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

What a range of photos already! Easyfish's put a grin on my face.

That is a beautiful bag, iivanita, inside and out. Why don't all bags have beautiful linings? I like, too, how the green leather is stitched in pink. The color pink really does speak to a lot of us females.

Yesterday's journey theme reminded me how I like Rue Royale from Hove, which I guess could be called floral since there's no official note list. Strangely, it's not a summer scent for me. I guess it will continue to elude classification. I think it was tdem who noted it makes a fine rainy-day scent.

It's frosty and sunny this a.m. Time to bring in the patio furniture and Weber grill.

I love all the pics. It is so good to see you all each morning...you put a smile on my face.

I haven't selected any SotD. I'm still in my sleep tee and last night's Chantilly. About to make a cup of tea. I don't believe in rushing things. I will probably do some more sampling today.

Good Saturday, y'all! I started early this am with Rochas Man, but now it's time for my shower after walking the doggies. Think I'll go with something more Fall-y. The temperature is dropping this morning. It may be time for Loulou.

It's much cooler today - I think fall has finally arrived in New Orleans! I'm in Chanel Coromandel.

    Y'all have a great day!

Yes, that is a nice bag iivanita, I especially like the rosy toile lining - very pretty!

I agree - I think it's the best patchouli out there! But of course it would just have to be elegant, coming from Chanel.

Sampling Serge Lutens’ Vitriol d’Oeillet today. I looooove this. I don’t think I could wear it as a perfume, but I love its art nouveau evocation (for me). I would love to smell this on a shawl draped over a piano, or wafting from a beautiful handwritten letter on stationery, or spritzed onto violet colored tissue paper for wrapping keepsakes. I’d love to smell it on someone’s coat as they breeze through the door with a rush of cold air. That kind of thing. Someone sent me this in a packet of samples, saying, “I know you are not planning to buy anything fragrance-wise any time soon. But a person has to know what’s going on, right?” Thank you, my dear – you know who you are.

p.s. B-belle just called up the stairs, “Are you trying on perfume?” Just a little bit between the wrists, and he can smell it all the way downstairs. The man either has an amazingly acute sniffer (he does, actually) or this is some potent juice.

Batten down the hatches, east coasters!

    Yes lovely bag, iivanita!

For me it was She-Wolf yesterday, and She-Wolf today. I smelled it on a sweater left in the bed and it is exactly that kind of smell. Not fierce like a wolf, despite the name. Something you would smell on your clothes after, um, well, it's very nice.

In vintage Chantilly now. In the bottle I remember mum having and by Houbigant. Going to gift it to mum even though it's only a half bottle. She wore it so well

Mercy, Lilybelle, inspired poetry is erupting from you.

My honey smelled me outdoors and repeatedly commented about liking my fragrance. Woot! However, he was drinking fruit juice at the same time, so I don't know if the fruit and fresh air contributed to his enthusiasm. Post shower, I'm wearing more Rue Royale. We'll see if this evokes the same response.

Wearing Parfumerie Generale Coze #2 for the evening. Notes include canapa sative seed oil, pepper, pimento, coffee, ebony wood, chocolate, bourbon and vanilla pods. This smells far better than the notes make it seem and it actually is a very cozy scent.
