Too vile for ANY use.
WARNING: This is a thread about a very controversial fragrance on Basenotes. Proceed at your own risk.
In the cube next to mine at work, one of my coworkers wears A*Men at times. And recently, he upgraded to A*Men Pure Leather and has been wearing it to work as well. He can pull it off just fine, as he doesn't overdose on it (I can faintly smell it from my cubicle). I have occasionally worn A*Men to the same (very casual) office, but have standardized on Straight to Heaven per a coworker's request.
But I need to ask a question: Is A*Men suitable for office use or not? (We're talking about the original and not the many flankers.) Don't forget to vote in the poll.
Sometimes a certain smell will take me back to when I was young,
How come I'm never able to identify where it's coming from,
I'd make a candle out of it if I ever found it,
Try to sell it, never sell out of it, I'd probably only sell one
-"Stressed Out", Twenty One Pilots
Too vile for ANY use.
Suitable if not oversprayed (maybe 4-6 sprays)
... And do me a favor - don't disturb my friend. He's dead tired.
Welcome to the Bwahahaha! era...
TUM TUM PISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It depends - if your boss or others are likely to think either,
a. That you would really rather be partying somewhere else rather than work, or
b. That you are on the hunt for some female colleague,
then it is probably not a good idea.
On the other hand, if your work involves interacting with female customers or female clients, it's probably a great idea.
Not suitable and is vile.
Is the juice worth the squeeze?
I simply don't like it, so my vote is no....my tastes aside, though, I think it depends on the setting, work culture & amount of application. It's definitely a potent frag unless applied lightly, so you'd have to be careful like you're co-worker is. It's also generally a love-it or hate-it type of frag, so I think you would have a higher chance of possibly "offending" someone with it vs. lighter, more universally liked frags.
I say yes as on my skin any fragrance is tame, and doesn't scream out through the room, so I can work stuff like A*Men, 1 Million, Black Aoud just fine, not loud at all on me.
Yeah it can be worn at the office.
If you work at the La Brea Tar Pits. Otherwise no.

No. Even one or two light sprays is too much, especially if it is in a small office. Being that it is in a cubicle where others may need to walk into to talk to you or conduct business, or whatever, I would say definitely not. I am thankful that those that wear this at my place of employment are in another wing of the building, and seldom have to come into the area where I am
I like my A*men but why would you want to wear a fragrance that has such great projection at an office?
Current must never run outs //// Creed Silver Mountain Water , TF Tuscan Leather , TF Lavender Palm , TF Oud Wood , Dior Homme , Bond No. 9 Bleecker St. , Mugler Cologne , L'Occitane's Vetyver eau de toilette , Dior Homme Intense , Versilia Vintage Ambra Mediterranea
IMO, just about any fragrance is fine for office use, as long as it's not over sprayed. With A*Men, you should either do one spray to the back of the neck, or one spray on each inner elbow (2 sprays total). Anything more than 2 sprays is over doing it.
On me only Pure Malt with one spray on cold days. The others are too strong even with 1 spray only.
It absolutely is suitable for the workplace when used in moderation. I have been wearing this fragrance to work, professional setting, for many years. I have received numerous compliments. Take it easy on the sprayer.
Another vote for "yes, if not oversprayed."
I wear Angel Men to work sometimes, but I stick to a single spray on the chest/neck area. It's potent enough to last all day even on one spray.
1-2 spray under clothing should be enough.
Or keep it away from pulse points
I like it but I'd never wear it to work. It depends what you do though. I suppose for many jobs it might be appropriate.

Yes if not overapplied. And same rule goes with any fragrance. In the case of A-Men 1 or 2 sprays under shirt should be fine.
Yes, especially if the office has a pest problem.
I wore dayly 6-7 sprays in the office for 6 months and nothing happened. It's open space, no cubicals and nobody complained. That means either they liked it or did not notice.
Let's stopkidding ourselves: it is not the beast it once was. At first i even thought i got a fake bottle it was so faint after 30 mins, when the tar wore off...just faint patch for 6 hours. Amen!
No rain, no rainbow
Yes, with a restrained application.
Pretty much anything is office safe is sprayed once under the shirt.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I've just been to sample this stuff for the first time. DISGUSTING and REVOLTING in every way possible! Never ever ever has a fragrance actually made me want to vomit until now. Got back to the office and immediately tried to wash it off my hand but it's still there! Eeeuw!
No fragrance is suitable for the office. They only should be outside of professional environments
