Default WOW! Just discovered an AWESOME fragrance!

Thanks to several quality reviews from several quality basenoters, I went out on a *cough* no pun intended *cough* limb and blindly ordered a bottle of....

    NORNE by Slumberhouse

My God, this stuff is amazing. Talk about your rich, dark, coniferous, smokey forest scent....this is it.

Really, I think it ends here.

This smells exactly like a New England pine forest in the late summer--deep pine, wood, sap, bark and some smoke from the nearby cabins, among I'm sure other woods and plants I can't identify.

Stunning. This smells so natural, so true to life, and completely different from anything I've encountered.

Slumberhouse did an incredible job with this. I hope some of you have the chance to sniff it out!

Yes, I agree it smells incredible. Pretty much is indeed the forest in a bottle.

Is 50 ml the largest these Slumberhouse fragrances come in? And where is the best place to buy these?

I ordered from Parfum1. It came well packed and arrived quickly.

So far I've seen 3 different bottles for this: the one in the basenotes directory, the one on Parfum1's website, and the actual bottle I received. All quite different.

I am quite a Slumberhouse fan. The new iteration of Jeke is also wonderful. Pear+Olive and Sova also get lots of wearings from me. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Thanks for sharing. A natural "forrest" smell like that has me intrigued.

Ha, I just blind bought Norne too! Received my bottle yesterday, and I would agree with everything you said.

This is a fantastic dark, resinous woods scent. I haven't smelled too many frags that bring to mind dark wet woods, but this does so very well, especially the opening. I have to give it a couple full wears to better understand the drydown.

Buysblind, did you get a bottle in a new design different from what's on the Slumberhouse website? My bottle doesn't look like any Slumberhouse bottle I've ever seen. It's cylindrical instead of looking like a Le Labo bottle.

EDIT: just saw your response Buysblind, I see you also received a newly designed bottle.

I started a thread that shows the different Slumberhouse bottle designs:

    It is all-natural after all.

But I have encountered another scent that is quite similar: Black Tourmaline.

Wow. This sounds like it is right up my alley. I will have to get a sniff of this, wet woods. Sounds particularly delicious.

Yeah, just to clarify, my bottle is the one you posted in the picture.

    Enjoy!

I love the smell of Norne--nostalgia in a bottle for me. However, I'd never actually wear it. For me, this would work great as a room fragrance... but it's just too strong for me to want to actually wear it.

Just got a sample and I do like it. Very coniferous.....reminds me a bit of Polo and/or Tom Ford's Italian Cypress an hour or two into it. I do prefer it to either of those two, however.

The opening is fairly strong. I prefer the dry down. The smokiness is not overpowering, which I prefer. Very nice, overall.
