    Default Cheaper Black Afgano

    Hi guys,

I really like the Nasomatto Black Afgano, but I'd prefer a cheaper fragrance which smell similar (and also has a good longevity). Is there anything like it on the market?

    Many thanks!

Thankfully I have not come across anything as yet... The cringe-worthy dry-down of Oud Ispahan by Dior came closest in spirit, but I can't really say the scents are very similar at all on the whole.
    Current Top Favorites:
    1) Portrait of a Lady original formula (EdP Frédéric Malle)
    2) Giorgio for Men vintage/V.I.P. for Men (Giorgio Beverly Hills)
    3) Dia Man vintage edt (Amouage)
    4) Les Nombres d'Or Vetyver (Mona di Orio) - tie
    4) Lalfeorosa (O'driù) - tie

    6) Anat Fritz Original Formula and Classical (Anat Fritz)
    7) Captain vintage (Molyneux)
    8) Tzora (Anat Fritz)

what about Montale's Dark Aoud? I've previously heard some comparisons between the two.

IMO Dark Aoud is quite different and much more mellow.

Yeah Dark Aoud also came to my mind first but it really is something diffrent. DA is harsh and very manly in a different way.

Cuirs is really almost the same as Black Afgano and has also great longevity and sillage, just a tad less than Nasomatto's.

Let me know when you've tried it and what you think about it.

I thought hard. I don't think there is anything else like it... I mean you could rub weed on your skin but that would be illegal

I personally found them quite similar, but not identical. After that pungent rose/sweet smell fades away, they are in fact very close to my nose. I do realize we all smell different things, so it's all subject to ones opinion.

Just received a sample of Cuirs and a sample of Dark Aoud.
Cuirs smells exactly like Black Afgano to me. (thanks for your recommendation nonsisa)
Dark Aoud is a Black Afgano sinked in petrol.
