Default Which of these do you like better (they are not similar)

So, a few days ago I posted here saying I could get 30mL of a few different Tom Fords for a very good price. Well, after getting some responses about Oud Wood, I thought I might blind buy it, but I'm starting to think otherwise.

The scents I can choose from (to blind buy) are as follows:
    -Black Violet
    -Neroli Portofino
    -Oud Wood
    -Italian Cyprus

I was recently turned on to Neroli Portofino, since robes08 seemed to like it in one of his old haul videos, and I seem to agree with most of what he says. From what I heard in the last thread, Oud Wood is not the safest blind buy, especially for someone who has never smelled Oud before. I also hear Oud is hard to like if you are not from the culture that uses it, but I can't see that being true with all the Oud based frags on the market now.

But anyway, what do you guys think of the above fragrances? Will any of them make for a good blind buy at $30 for 30 mL? What do you think of NP?

Thanks, and sorry for all the questions.

Not a fan of any them, but from your list - Neroli Portofino

Neroli Portofino is probably the safest. I like Oud Wood as well.

    Definitely the Neroli.

Have a sample of Neroli Portofino and love it. I was not too crazy about Black Violet. The other two I have never tried. NP is a wonderful scent, though it can be regarded as unisex.

Nice to see someone likes it. Most of the reviews say it is okay but nothing special. I don't really have any summer/spring scents as it is (other than HM), so it could be a worthwhile blind buy.

I too have only tried these two. NP is a pretty floral that could be worn by a man in the warm months. Black Violet to me is pretty "classic" perfume; it is strong, and some would call "old lady."
As for a spring/summer blind buy, there are cheaper alternatives. And since you have the time before you will be wearing them, try myperfumesamples.com and pick up NP for $7 before the blind buy. If you like unisex try Hermes Un Jardin line for warmer sprays.

See, I'd try it beforehand, but $30 for 30mL of TF seems like a steal to me, so I'd rather just take a shot at it. Thanks for the advice though. It seems I may go with NP.

The price per ml is a good one, but I am afraid I do not like any of them...

Wow that is a good price. Can't be too upset even if you don't like it. If you like Neroli than you are set!

Don't buy any of those... ( Neroli is best but lasting and projection are questionable )

I'm honestly not a huge fan of any of them...but Neroli Portofino is quite disappointing except from a longevity viewpoint. Black Violet also was hard for me to wear, it smelled somewhat old and fruity...usually don't mind but it was just kind of grating. Try at your own risk.

I sampled all the Private Blends. Neuroli Portifino was the one I purchased. NUFF SAID!

NP smells great, but lacks longevity. Go with Oud Wood, or Italian Cypress.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I ordered an ounce of Neroli Portofino (cost me $36 after shipping). I appreciate the input, and hopefully I like it!
