Angry XERJOFF HOMME - R.I.P. - Reformulated and ruined

My fault. I just mixed the testers.

I'm not suprised, honestly. It was the only truly amazing composition of the whole range and, probalby, it didn't fit with the rest of uninspired fragrances they use to deliver...(swimming against the stream, I know).

I was recently given a new sample and didn't like it one bit, Felt like a very poor mans Guerlain Derby.

    It was iris, not Homme.

EDJA, Before you edited your post, I recall you saying that Richwood also suffered from reformulation. Any more thoughts on that?

LOL - hey, we all make mistakes! I've learned to write names on all my blotters when reviewing, because things can get very confusing by the drydown, even when I think I've got things straight.

Do you think you can change the thread title? I believe that you have to use some advanced options on the editing. I'm not a great fan of this scent, but still, it doesn't deserve a bad rap!

Good point! Moderators can do it easily I hope.
I like this house and do appreciate the quality of raw materials they use.

I had a long phone conversation with Sergio Momo regarding this.
Sergio insured me that they didn't change any fragrance from 17/17 line since first day of production.
The first Richwood I have a bought last year from luckyscent seems to me much stronger and deeper, but this is very subjective feeling. Maybe the problem is in my mind rather then on bottle.
Regarding the Homme, Sergio also confirmed that there is only one batch on the market and all juice made from on bowl.
At the same time, I still feel the slightly difference between Homme I bought last year with the bottle I have purchased just two days ago in Moscow. I feel that new bottle quite lighter and powdery.
    All IMHO for sure.

Xerjoff Homme is the best leather fragrance I've ever smelled besides vintage Derby
