Default Chanel Sycomore - Longevity and projection?

I'm seriously considering purchasing a bottle of Sycomore. How does this fragrance last and project for you? Does it hit the 8 hour mark on your skin?

It does for me, and my skin is dry. But I've heard others complain that longevity isn't as expected. In any case, the frag is fantastic and works well in most circumstances, so it's definitely a great buy. Go directly for the 200ml bottle.

I love the way this scent smells. But the longevity was unfortunately worse than middling for me. 3 hours and then skin scent. Others had better luck--try before you buy YMMV!

I think it depends on each person. I can get it last the whole day readily with excellent projection.

It does pretty well for me. 6+ hours. I'm not sure how far it projects though.

I get excellent longevity from this, and the projection is good -- not too crazy, not to quiet. It's a magnificent scent.

Wild card... how many sprays for those who experience better than average longevity and projection?

Average and average. 3 sprays: 3-4 hrs with average projection, another 3-4 hrs as a skin scent. Smells great though.

Does well cor me. Sprayed it this morning and still smell it lightly now 13 hours later. The big bottoe is cheap enough...just reapply if you have to. The only vetiver I really like.

Sycomore by Chanel is a tasteful and refined, all-season fragrance, having average projection and good longevity.

Check out Lalique, Encre Noire smells like Sycomore, not 100 % maybe 90%

For me, Sycomore is slightly above average for longevity. It is an excellent fragrance, so I wouldn't let longevity be what would prevent you from getting this -- if need be, just carry around an atomizer of it.

While that is a common initial impression, however they are different beasts. I rarely reach for Encre Noir - as Sycomore is richer, more nuanced, more complex.

I use three sprays of Sycomore and get the whole day out of it. No issues with longevity here.

I put some on yesterday and again last night and can still smell it thismorning. It lasts a very long time on me. I wasn't expecting it to smell so gourmand though. I was expecting a dry vetiver forest... not a creamy, chocolate, marzipan pudding. The vetiver doesn't emerge on me for some time and I didn't get any smoke. It was however, bonfire night last night, so maybe it just got overpowered. I'm going to have to concentrate and wear it on me and a test strip together to see if it was my skin doing that to it. The reviews are way off what I thought I was smelling.

I can vouch for it too - good 8 or 9 hours I'd say and anything that caught the spray mist on your outer clothes will usually smell of the dry down for at least another day - it comes and goes; you get whiffs of it.

I have to say though that just a couple of sprays do not last with Sycomore. I find doing a few more and it stands stronger. Last week I got my first compliment on Sycomore (after a compliment 'dry spell'!) and this was with 5 or 6 maybe.

I went for the 75ml when I got it, but I can see now why they do them in 200ml. I'd be tempted to get the 200ml next time round. Very good scent and the dry down is just superb!!

I would say it last about 4-6 hours then it becomes a skin scent. It is definitely FBW in my opinion.

Test drove it again today. Four sprays to the chest and one to each wrist. It is now 14 hrs later and if I adjust my shirt I can still smell it. Very noticeable for around 7-8 hours. All good

Totally. I get a very beautiful hazelnut vibe, and wouldn't like to smell Sycomore on a woman, I think it is manly.

Hmmm.... hazelnut. That is actually a very good description. I never saw it that way, but whatever it is that Sycomore dry-down is just to die for! Can't get enough of it. Soon to be a 200ml bottle me thinks!

I recently picked this up and gave it a full wearing yesterday. Sillage was great for the first few hours and then it seemed to die down very close to my skin. Deceptive longevity however as I could still smell it on my skin about ten hours after application. And between the three and ten hour mark I would get whiffs of it as my body heat rose and fell throughout the day.

The quality is obviously there as it is detectable after 8-10 hours, but this isn't a powerhouse that will be in your face all day. It is sophisticated and will remind you of its presence from time to time.
