Default Sean John Unforgivable Vs. Creed Millesime Imperial

What are you guys/gals opinion on these two fragrances? Since I know they are both compared to one another, would it be worth buying a bottle of Millesime Imperial if Unforgivable has the same scent?

Get a sample of MI. If you love it then buy a bottle. I wouldn't bother with Unforgiving.

Ditto. MI is much better. From what I recall, the top notes in Unforgivable are nice - but fleeting. Unforgivable Black was more interesting with coconut and liquor (rum).

They aren't (exactly) the same scent, just similar. I don't think you would ever be sorry you bought the Millesime Imperial, but I don't think you could say that about Unforgivable after smelling MI.

Unforgivable Multi Platinum is supposed to be Sean Jean's "best" copy of MI, but even it pales in comparison to the real thing. Go with the Creed.

Have tried the former and own the latter. Don't like the former, but very much like the latter.

MI is a far "superior" fragrance, but Unforgivable is less expensive. I personally like MI better for most occasions, but both are lacking in the performance arena.

Not a fan of either... but if you can afford it, I would agree with Jack.

Correct. The rights to Sean John fragrances were bought by Parlux Fragrances. Sister company Perfumania has Unforgivable, I Am King, and Unforgivable Woman in their stores, and Parlux is planning a new Sean John men's fragrance for 2015. I smelled the new Parlux-bottled Unforgivable, and it smells the same as the Lauder-bottled predecessor, so any reformulation is probably minimal.

Still prefer MI, though. But if you can't scrape up the cash, Unforgivable is a more than acceptable substitute.
