Be prepared for the BS/misleading recommendations for DH, i guarantee it. It's become a joke on Basenotes. Why waste your money on something that will make you smell like an old tramps handbag?
In short, YSL is worth wearing. DH is not.

Dior Homme is by mile more sophisticated, unique and worth owning. L'Homme is not bad but not groundbreaking like DH was.
I don't care much for either, but of the two Dior Homme is the superior scent, IMO.

4) Lalfeorosa (O'driù) - tie

Dior homme intense is better IMO
I never like to be "belong to the bunch" guy, but Dior Homme is a far superior fragrance than L'Homme.
whoa i thought it'll be closer than this, looks like its Dior ehy? @tropics, u had to say that, now im confused, haha . nah, i guess it all comes down to personal preference. thanks fellas !!
Dior Homme
I like them both...both are on my Buy list (well...Dior Homme Intense is)...but DHI is higher up the list than L'Homme.
"We don't fail because we aim too high and miss, but because we aim too low and hit" - Les Brown
"When you're all alone, when no one is watching, and there's no one around to impress, that is who you are" - Greg Laurie
L'homme smells great but doesn't last long for me. I'd consider YSL La Nuit and Dior Homme Intense instead. I own La Nuit, L'homme Libre, and L'homme and would put them in that order (best to worst).
I do like like to inject a healthy dose of reality into the DHI threads, if it saves just one person money and disapointment then it's worth it. I detest the stuff, as did everyone around me when i foolishly wore it. The opening smells like a glue factory and the drydown is like a cheap talcum powder. DH is much the same. Horrid stuff.
YSL La Nuit has been mentioned which is a great choice, i prefer the original YSL L'Homme and it's the one i'm wearing today. Be sure to check those two out![]()
To me L'Homme smells better but DH lasts a lot longer.
Longevity aside, I like the scent of L'Homme better.
DH, given the choices although I don't wear either. You should test and see which one pleases you most.
DH would be more unique but L'Homme is easier to like (as demonstrated by its sheer popularity).
Dior Homme is the better by far IMO and...

It's a joke alright - it's not even close. Dior Homme FTW! But hey, it's your money and your nose.![]()
Either YSL L'Homme or the Intense flanker of Dior Homme.
They are two completely different scents.
DH may last longer, but I don't get jack for projection unless I spray 5+ times.
L'H smells better to me, and projects better. Sure, it doesn't last as long, but that is why they made La Nuit.... to put on after.
If you want to play it safe, YSL L'Homme. It is an excellent day fragrance and can be a signature scent. Dior Homme, is a bit more daring and with that comes added longevity thought the scent tends to stay close to your skin. The two are very good scents thought I favor DH more. If I could only have one of them? It would have to be Dior Homme.
My sarcasm is so evolved it sounds like sincerity.
Why not try a classic like YSL L' homme concentrate. A great citrus with above average longevity and sillage.
WELCOME TO BASENOTES!!!!
I'm not OLD...I'm VINTAGE!

I haven't tried DH (I own DHS 2012). However, I can tell you that L'Homme was so good, it was worth buying both the 40ml and the 100ml.
Love them both, but DH has far more depth to it! Can't go wrong with either imo
I have and enjoy both.
YSL L'Homme is a safer fragrance. Use to be my signature fragrance.
Dior Homme is sexy and more complex.
YSL L'homme
Thanks guys for the feedbacks, i think i can't go wrong with either(apart from smelling the same with a bunch of guys lol). it's all good, im gonna steal some cash to get creed someday !
Dior Homme, no question. L'Homme smells pleasant but as a scent is quite boring. Dior Homme smells wonderful and is sophisticated and interesting.
Having said that, you need to try it out before you pull the trigger. The Iris is amazing but can be too much for some people.
Got 'em both, dig 'em both, but I luv the Dior Homme. If you're considering those two, why not consider La Nuit and Dior Homme Intense as well?
@sillage, true i see what you're saying.. definitely gonna try it first . @shinybeast, cool! what do u think, la nuit or dior homme?
