Cuir pleine fleur is a masterpiece which gets little attention
Ambra nobile 1942 is a masterpiece which gets no attention
Just like the title says! What are your favorite frags that get little or no play here on BN? They can be niche or designer, 5 dollars or 1000 dollars, who cares, if they are great and not getting the respect they deserve, tell us about them. Heres a few to get things started:
1. Fat Electrician-ELDO
One of my new favorite Vetivers
2. Cuir et Champignon-Dawn Spencer Hurwitz
A great spicy, leather joined with the earthiness of mushrooms
3. Nejma One-Pascal Morabito
A fantastic tobacco with a nice hint of Oud and spices

Been championing it a lot lately (since its worth it), but Metro Black by Rue 21 is great. The price ($10 for what I think is a 1.7oz bottle) makes it even greater. Is pretty much linear, as most cheapies are, but its very similar to the drydown of Dior Homme Intense to my nose. Projection is a little above average, longevity is 6-8 hours or so, and i've gotten a lot of compliments from it.
Herod by Parfums de Marly
Sombre Negra, by Yosh: a manly smokey scent with Frankincense, patchouli, tobacco and a very nice dose of clove. If that sounds even remotely interesting, I highly recommend seeking out a sample. It's excccccelllllllllennnnnnnt.

Spazio Krizia- some of the smoothest, classiest citrus scents, if not discontinued and if better marketed, may have even been on par with ADP, Eau Sauvage, Eau Imperiale, Original EDC (1709), Chanel pour Monsieur etc.
Joint by Roccobarocoo- alas discontinued too, a very quirky, creative, pleasantly bewildering, non-linear chypre
Murdocks Black Tea fragrance is imo a really good scent with spices and leather with a really nice refreshing black tea note, I think I'm the only one on basenotes that has this little gem of a fragrance.
Les Nombres d'Or Ambre by Mona di Orio. A stunningly good less sweet amber that is the best I have smelled to date. It seems to always be the one from the Les Nombres d'Or collection that gets no press anywhere... Too bad really, as it is a masterpiece.

I've just been on Trip Advisor. There was no information on a cut knee.

I could probably think of quite a few that are underappreciated on BN, but 2 that come to mind at the moment are:
Keiko Mecheri Oliban
Keiko Mecheri Les Zazous
Both are quite well done IMO, but I never see any mention of these. Certainly worth trying out for sure.

I don't think TDC De Bachmakov or Slumberhouse Jeke get enough attention.

Have always loved Grain de Plaisir by MPG -- not reciprocated here much though
Molinard Homme 1...refreshing mint with powdery woods. Love it.
keepin' it musky
Great suggestions guys! +1 on Sombre Negra and Cuir Pleine Fleur. Havent tried any of the others but I definitely will be soon. Keep 'em coming!
Baghari by Robert Piguet
Molinard II
& Carbone
both are inexpensive & very nice frags .
Though I've never tested their stuff, from what I read around here and on other sites, it seems the entire Slumberhouse line could use more love. Apparently Norne is lovely.
Axis Caviar Wood-Oudh
1876 - Histoires de Parfums
I have just been sampling this one and it's very nice indeed. On the opening I can smell the lychee fruity note mixing in with the iris and rose. It's a little sweet and floral and quite complex.
As time has moved on I am picking up violet with cinnamon and some woods all in this beautiful mix.
This is a really nice fragrance which has a really good balance of fruit, florals and a bit of woods. I'm impressed.

An inexpensive and low priced (under $30 on Amazon) Jacques Fath by Jacques Fath.Suave, not overpowering, but a definite presence. Goes to a skin scent after about four or five hours. The oriental character of this seems not to reference vanilla very much. The drydown is more amber and musk, retaining a hint of the spice notes as well. Perfect for wearing in public, at work, casual social occasions, and so forth. It's urbane, sophisticated, and not in the least modern or trendy. Unassuming, but definitely not self-effacing.
I'm not OLD...I'm VINTAGE!
