    Default Next purchase help?

DHI / GPH II / CDG 2 MAN

I need something with a beast or good silliage, good longevity. I enjoy all sorts of notes in my frags. And i love to make an impression when i walk by someone. Sorry if i sound weird but would like some advice and why that is your pick. Only one i smelled is CDG2m and i absolutely loved it. I want the scen to be manly for sure i have enough floral femme scents.

GPH II has pretty horrible longevity and sillage, definitely not an option.
CDG 2 Man seems to be about average in that area.

DHI is very powerful, but it's not extremely manly, pretty sweet and powdery.
If you're looking for sillage, longevity, and masculinity, frankly I have some better suggestions, if you're curious.

From your three choices, I'd go with GPH II

My skin soaks up lots of stuff pretty quickly, but CdG 2 Man is strong on me. Gives decent projection and 12 hour longevity. And I absolutely love it.

From your performance criteria DHI is closest, but for many the vanilla and iris means it is quite feminine. 2 Man is a great scent. I get decent longevity but I'd never describe it as a beast in terms of sillage or longevity. Out of those three scents, 2 Man would be my pick, but I'm a huge fan of the scent. One of my top 2 favourite scents.

Others you might want to try could be Royal Oud by Creed, or for something a bit more out there Epic Man by Amouage (incense, leather, woods, oud).

Vintage powerhouses are going to fit the bill most closely. I recommend seeking out vintage bottles of compositions like these...

    Giorgio for Men
    Bijan Men
    Davidoff (original)
    Polo (original green bottle)

The key is to only get the vintage original formulas (as some are discontinued, and the balance don't smell the same in their current iterations). This is a lot more work than walking into your local Sephora or department store (and they will most likely be more expensive) but well worth the effort.
    Current Top Favorites:
    1) Portrait of a Lady original formula (EdP Frédéric Malle)
    2) Giorgio for Men vintage/V.I.P. for Men (Giorgio Beverly Hills)
    3) Dia Man vintage edt (Amouage)
    4)
Anat Fritz Original Formula and Classical (Anat Fritz) - tie
    4) Lalfeorosa (O'driù) - tie

    6)
Les Nombres d'Or Vetyver (Mona di Orio)
    7) Captain vintage (Molyneux)
    8) Tzora (Anat Fritz)
    9) Javanese Patchouli (Zegna) - tie
    9) Monsieur de Givenchy vintage (Givenchy) - tie
    9) Coeur de Vetiver Sacré (L'Artisan) - tie
    9) X for Men (Clive Christian) - tie
    9) Patou pour Homme Privé (Jean Patou) - tie
    9) Oud Shamash (The Different Company) - tie
