It's super hyped and I think it deserves every bit of it.

    Great frag.

I love it too. One of most wearable niches that I tried so far. Very masculine but still kinda comfortable (like everything with lot of amber). I'd buy it if it was a bit cheaper (or if Tauer was giving free shipping).
    TOP 5 hot weather:

    1. Gucci Pour Homme II
    2. Lalique Encre Noire
    3. Creed Aventus
    4. Creed Millesime Imperial
    5. Azzaro Chrome Sport

    TOP 5 cold weather:

    1. L'Instant de Guerlain Pour Homme Extreme
    2. Chanel Coromandel
    3. Dior Homme Intense
    4. Dior Homme
    5. Byredo 1996

    Very good. Very very good.

Andy set the bar high with this one. Too bad the rest didn't follow suit.

I am in the distinct minority, but like all the other Tauer efforts I have tried to date, it did not really impress me. I thought it was above average, but not purchase-worthy. It is the best of the Tauer house though, IMO.

This works very very well. It is ultimately quite a simple idea of amber and ambroxan with lots of incense. It is very well realised - I particularly like the way it seems perfectly balanced and yet rough and unpolished at the same time.
The only problem I have is that the nuclear silage means I can't wear it for most environments.

It is a really good one, I love it in cooler weather. My first thought upon reading your opening post was that you should try Chergui but I see that you already have it in your wardrobe. :-)

Bought another bottle of this just last week. It is a very enchanting fragrance. One of the only amber fragrances my wife likes on me... and she REALLY like this one. So do I.

Love it, it's my favorite from this house, I had a decant and I'm buying a bottle very soon.

Don't like it. Too strong in a rough sort way, difficult to wear, peaks into the turpentine/industrial/glue/solvent area too much. Its massive, stinky cloud follows you around all day.

    Plus overpriced and overhyped.

Hope I haven't put you off.

I agree. While it initially wowed me, I just grew to really not like it.

Same here. It's a nice smell alright but I got very quickly tired of it's astronomic silage after a couple of auditions.

I used it frequently in the summer but I layered it with vetiver centric frags.

For example 3-4 sprays of Chanel Sycomore or Guerlain Veriver Eau Glacee or even Mugler Cologne and 1 spray of LLdDM to the chest works beautifully.

Nice, you just switched on my inner light bulb, since I'm a crazy chemist fragrance layer blender mixer

have never thought of trying such a blend, but will give Tauer LADDM and Guerlain Vertiver and later Mugler Cologne mixed together a try this evening

From what I tried LADDM works well with any fresh, grassy Vetiver. Just make sure to limit LADDM to only 1 spray - anything more and you won't be able to smell anything else.

Doesn't seem to work with more complicated vetivers such as Mona di Orio Vetyver.

L'Air du Desert Marocain by Tauer is a wonderful illusion of desert environs and an oasis therein with a spice bazaar. It's nicely versatile, wear it whenever it strikes your fancy, but, easy on the trigger.

Its very good but I find it a little too dry, or a little too much of whatever is creating the dry aspect of it. I have been debating a bottle, I'll need some more wearings first.

It's got projection alright, but given the general wimpyness of so many other things these days, I call that a plus. I'd much rather have to skimp on application than have to do a ton of sprays...and often still not get very much projection.

Does anyone else get a hint of Rive Gauche after the initial opening?
Just beginning to try this one out, and am getting the same warm rich feeling of RG in the drydown.
