Nothing I would want in a frag! lol
Think of an pineapple, a watermelon (or any other exotic fruit) covered in sugar and then being overheated so that the fruit melts down with the sugar to a warm, hard and gewy mess. Think black, think purpule .. what does that remind you of?
Thanks in advance!![]()

When I think of purple I think of Poison(yikes!) When pineapple is mentioned I think of Rivages des Syrtes from MDCI(great scent) but not dark. You've stumped me but there are a lot of BNers who may have answers. I think your question is interesting. Ill be following along to see whats said. Good Luck
I've just been on Trip Advisor. There was no information on a cut knee.

When I think of "dark" and "fruit" in the way you describe, I think of fruit that is overripe or rotten, when the sweet scent of decay mixes with the sweet scent of the fruit.
If you search "rotten fruit" or "decayed fruit" (in quotes) in the basenotes search engine, you will find reviews for different fragrances that contain that quality. That may be one place to start.
When I think of "dark fruit" I also think of Serge Lutens "Arabie", but it does not have a "tropical" vibe. If I were to create a "dark and tropical" mash up, I would imagine it to be something along the lines of Lutens "Chergui" with the addition of perhaps something like a coconut note underneath the dark smokey woods, spices, and tobacco.
Purple Black by Atelier Flou
YOSH Sombre Negra is a subtle pineapple + campfire.
Definitely Poison.
Caron's Acaciosa has a pineapple note, but it's not really a dark fragrance in the way you describe.

I've got samples of agaraura's Koten Jinkoh and Royal Assam and they smell how you describe after the initial oud has mellowed out.
BPAL also do lots of fruit / gourmand oils that might interest you.
Fars By Xerjoff appeared exotic to me but also feminine.
