It's a nice scent and I own it but IMO nothing out of the ordinary.

Never tried this, was reluctant to do so, but maybe I will now.

I own it.... like hednic, I don't feel it is remarkable. A bit powdery for me.

I think this is what Boss Orange should have smelt like.

I don't like the oily orange smell in it. Its flanker Altitude is MUCH better - very nice.

+1 Altitude is way better imo as well
To me Silver Shadow was far too weak and nothing special.

I love it but prefer Silver Shadow Pure Blend.

I wouldn't rate it as a classic, but I definitely consider it in the same league as Chanel's Allure Homme in sheer beauty. Both are very nice examples of what can be achieved in the realm of masculine florientals without going overboard with sweetness.

I have both the EDT and the Pure Blend, and cannot make up my mind which one I like best.
It really grabbed me from the first sniff.

I always wondered why it didn't do so well. I suspect it may have something to do with it not really being an oriental party/clubbing scent (i.e. ultra loud/sweet). For me, it may be an oriental, but it's good enough to be good for general and office wear.

I wore Silver Shadow as my everyday signature in the mid to late 2000's before I really got into fragrances and collecting. I still love it and just find it to be a very comforting scent. Also, I'm kind of a sucker for saffron notes, and I think the saffron playing off the amber and citrus is what makes this one standout. (I also like the saffron notes in Versace Man, Escada Magnetism, & Izod).

Anyway, I haven't worn Silver Shadow in awhile since I wore it for so long, but I really need to get it back into my rotation more. It's definitely one that was special to me & I don't ever want to be without.

I totally agree. Although it doesn't smell like Chanel's Allure it is in the same league and at far less of a cost!

If you do like Silver Shadow, you should try Silver Shadow Private. It's similar but a touch more complex and it seems to last longer on my skin. I wear this one to work a lot and always get compliments. I think Strawberrynet is even having a sale on 'Private' at the moment.
