Not sure what you are asking. If you are asking what note appears in the greatest number of our fragrances, I don't see how anyone could possibly arrive at any answer but vanilla. It the staple basenote in most modern fragrances. Way overused in my opinion.

Pretty balanced wardrobe sans white flowers and fruity notes based perfumes.

Perhaps a slight skew towards vetiver.

Jeez this is going to take some analysis...

Sandalwood, Oakmoss, Vetiver and possibly some others but these are the main ones I would have thought.

Can you tell I like woody scents then?

Most likely, citrus, but either one among tobacco, leather, musk, amber, vetiver, cedar, sandalwood likely qualifying for a "second place".

Most of my frags do not have a "central note" . . . in fact, I'd say most frags in general are based on an interplay of notes. A small minority feature one particular ingredient or accord -- soliflores, pathchoulis, vetivers etc.

Without doing the actual research I'd guess that beyond vanilla there are good amounts of oakmoss, patchouli, and sandalwood.

This is a very interesting question. I have a pretty well-rounded collection, but (just guessing) I would say Lemon, Amber, Incense, and Oud are the most common notes in my collection.

Sure frags are an interplay of many notes but saying that there isnt a central note is like saying an orchestra conducts itself. Is Knize Ten not a leather central fragrance? Of course the amber, patchouli, and oak moss(synthetic now) and many other notes are present, but when someone asks whats your favorite "leather" fragrance, you dont answer with "none because all frags are an interplay of many different notes". I avoided using the term "central theme" so people wouldnt answer with Chypre or Fougre etc. but I think that would be a more appropriate term. And why would you purposefully hijack someone else's thread? You didnt even succeed at it. Just start your own thread and try to have some respect for other people on this site. I dont get why people have to add pointless comments to threads they dont agree with, just dont reply to it and use your time more wisely. Bro
