Question The Arabian Oud Company ~ Oxford St.

I'm hoping someone can help me out here.
I visited their Oxford St. store shortly after it first opened and tried some of their oil based ouds.
One was absolutely sensational. It contained a very high quality sandalwood that was prominent.
It lasted for hours and was so beautiful I could not stop sniffing my arm. At the time I backed out of buying it because the price tag was too hefty. Something like £160 for 3ml. Unfortunately I have forgotten which one it was.
I am hoping that someone here is familiar with their perfumes and may know which one it was.
I have just checked their website and noticed that quite a few of their perfumes and oud oils are for sale at half price, which gives me more incentive to try and find this oud/sandalwood beauty.

I own one called Al Azerya, which is a classic smooth blend of oud-rose-sandalwood, but the sandalwood in evidence, perhaps lifted by saffron. But I am told that it has been discontinued. I bought it in the Paris store on the Champs Elysees, I dont know if the store is still there. I remember it costing somewhat less than the price you quote, perhaps more like 200 euros for 6ml or the like.

I love Al Siraj and Kalemat Black. But they don't fit what you are describing, sorry...

I'd also like to know the name of this blend.

I have been generally unsuccessful at finding sandalwood blends from the Arabian perfume houses. I have tried nearly all the houses many times, but the SAs have always said something like "Don't have" or just plain "No". I get this even from the houses like Amouage and Ajmal who have advertised sandalwood fragrances.

I'm not sure why. Maybe sandalwood was never a traditionally favored ingredient in this region. Maybe Indian sandalwood is too expensive or hard to get now, but there are sandalwood oils from other places as well as synthetic alternatives. Maybe it doesn't fit in with current local trends. Perhaps one of our Arab members from the Gulf area can speak about this.

Noggs, they have the sandalwood attar at the Amouage shop in London. I tried it a few weeks ago, but it wasn't quite my style...
