Thread: Patchouli scent
Im looking for a patchouli scent that I want to be more hippy than modern without having to resort to patchouli oil!
I dont mind it being combined with another note but I still want the patchouli scent to dominate.
Patchouli by Molinard
Patchouli by Santa Maria Novella
Givenchy Gentleman (very nice and relatively cheap "powerhouse" frag, though this one may be more "refined" than what you're looking for).
Sorry I should mention that it should be reasonably easy to buy here in the UK.
Dior's Patchouli Imperial.
I'm not OLD...I'm VINTAGE!
SMN Patchouli - this is my first choice.
Also really good are: Villoresi Patchouli and Profumum Patchouly.
Welcome to basenotes!
I´m also a patchouli lover. You can start with:
Réminiscence - Patchouli / Elixir
Montale - Patchouli (Leaves)
PdN - Patchouli (Intense)
...Cozé by Parfumerie Générale...

I was wondering what a Martian Boyuk was...
My vote goes to SMN's Patchouli. It seems to be pretty commonly available worldwide.
My new favorite patchouli bomb is Frederick Malle's Portrait of a Lady(which is perfectly unisex). Super expensive but one spray lasts forever, so I just bought a small decant. It is a very complex fragrance, but it has a heavenly drydown that centers on a musky patchouli. To my nose, the patchouli note is dominant throughout.
I bought the Givenchy Gentleman yesterday. Its very nice, and such a good price Im amazed! I can definitely smell the patchouli in it, and it lasts for several hours too which is good.
