Lightbulb My new summer scents. Can you help me adding some more names?

I will be adding some scents to my rotating as summer is starting in my country. I sample some :

Mugler cologne: it smells good but sometimes i think it is too feminine. Maybe i will order.
Concentre d orange verte: i will order. It has a touch of masculinity.

Eau de lalique(did not sampled): maybe i will dare a blind buy. should i?

I am not a fond of overly citrusy scents and did not like scents like YSL haute concentrate and live jazz. On the other hand i like scents on the barbershop way like rive gauche (which i wear a lot) and Caron PUH ( wear a lot too). However there is a time i just want a more simple scent that┤s why those scents above are more "clean" than the ones i usually wear.

Is it citrus in general, or more of an aversion to lemon in particular?

Hermes Un Jardin en Mediterranee and apres la mousson are my go-to summer scents, but you might find them too feminine.

Tommy Bahama has some inexpensive frags to try for the summer months.
TB-TB is a nice pepper leather frag with enough fruit to be summer.
TB-set sail (any) are pretty summery, with an ozonic feel

Personally, I don't get anything feminine about Mugler Cologne, which is a nice, but somewhat fleeting, "clean" scent that I wear in any season.

If you get a feminine vibe from Mugler, you surely will think Un Jardin en Mediterranee is too feminine. I like that one (interesting figgy note), but don't wear it but once in a blue moon because it is too feminine for me.

Too bad you're not a fond of overly citrus scents, since those are a summer mainstay. Perhaps try Virgin Island Water -- it has a bit of lime, but it's primarily coconut. I wear it all the time in the summer. Neroli Portofino is a great scent, but it is Neroli-based, which is similar to orange.
    Current Top Five:

    1. Creed Green Irish Tweed
    2. Tom Ford Neroli Portofino
    3. Hermes Concentre d'Orange Verte
    4. Bond No. 9 New Haarlem
    5. Creed Original Vetiver

    AvoidVader,

If u find mugler cologne feminine, u'll definitely find eau de Lalique even more so, & I'm ~ just talking about the bottle; imagine a
    Bulgari Omnia(original) EDC strength..
    On Sillage:

If someone can smell me at more than an arm's length away, I'm probably wearing too much of whatever I applied; if she can distinctly make out the top notes, then perhaps I left the house a bit too soon..

    On icebreaker:

I tend to compliment people on their frags to make short talks rather than anything more meaningful.

    AvoidVader,

If u found mugler cologne 2b feminine, u'll definitely find eau de Lalique even more so on the feminine side. Even the details on the bottle denote a feminine appeal. As for the juice, it's VERY similar to Bulgari Omnia(original), @ EDC strength

I couldn't understand at all. Are you supposing that lalique is feminine by its delicate bottle or did you try the juice?

Gendarme (original) is clean, fresh and inoffensive. I love it! I also recommend Chanel Allure Homme Sport Cologne Sport.

If you like the barbershop/old school fragrance vibe, check out Aramis New West, Guy Laroche Horizon, and Guerlain Vetiver. Those three can be found relatively cheap (unless you hunt down vintage formulations) and can all be worn in the Summer.

Bom gia, vader! I think you should try Bulgari pour Homme.

I too have Mugler Cologne (and Rive gauche!) and I think the clean, sophisticated BpH fits quite nicely into a regular rotation.

Lacoste Essential is one of my go to summer scents. It's got the citrus top notes, with some pepper and woody undertones. It mostly smells bright and clean, and though it isn't "daring", I get quite a lot of compliments on it.

John Varvatos Artisan would also be a good choice for a light, fresh summery scent. Decent longevity (on me at least) for such a light scent.

Good Morning DavstPaul! quite nice to remember bulgari PH. I only tested the extreme version, which is a little off. I think PH regular version is much more well done am i right?

I agree that Mugler Cologne can give off a feminine vibe, especially when first sprayed. However, Creed Original Vetiver is essentially the same thing but more masculine and deeper.

Agree with Gendarme and Gendarme 20, and Prada Amber PH if you like soapy type scents. Also agree with Concentre d orange verte that you mentioned (great scent), but it is quite sharp citrus. Also have to mention Bleu De Chanel. I know it doesn't seem to get allot of love here, but this is much more than a citrus summer scent (although could work well). The best part of Bleu imo is the sillage (very masculine and elegant) and could easily be worn in a formal situation as well as casual.

Well, *I* think so. To me the Extreme is just too sharp. I thought the pour Homme Soir was interesting, also.

    Good luck!

Keeping to designer frags and relatively affordable, I find simple frags work well in the heat:

Kenzo PH is a good, light and bright Summer scent:

Prada Infusion d'Homme, clean & soapy:

Issey Miyake PH works well too:
