Meh, it's alright I guess. I own Mugler Cologne, and Bergamote 22 so I haven't felt compelled to purchase this one.
It seems I rarely see people talk about this Creed. Personally, I find it intoxicating with the fresh lemon, subtle, not-so-smoky vetiver, and that clean fresh feel I get from wearing it. Add to that a slight twinge of sweetness, and this is an excellent fragrance, at least in my opinion.
What do you guys think about this? I always hear it compared to Mugler cologne, but I can't say I really liked it when I smelled it at the department store. Regardless, I may just have to buy a bottle of this come springtime.

I'm a fan and this comes into its own when its hot as the citrus aspect seems to come alive and project really well.
I like and own OV. Yes, I can see the comparison to Mugler Cologne, but personally cared for OV more.
I do, though not owning it yet, I'm planning to do so.
Yes, I like OV a lot. The dry down is the best part of the cologne, for me. It's a fragrance that you can wear anywhere and is inoffensive (for most).
Not my favourite vetiver, but a nice summer fragrance indeed.
Own it and love it.
Like this one, plan to own it next summer ..
Used to hate it. Now I really like it. I've been wearing it more frequently lately.
great scent, but the discontinued Vetiver 48 is way better...
The problems with OV is that it has to compete with Mugler's cologne (similar and much cheaper), Grey Vetiver (another citrus and stronger vetiver), and Rive Gauche (much cheaper and offers a better version of the barbershop vibe). Out of these 4 fragrances OV would probably come in last due to price and the fact it smells very little of vetiver.
Some day's you're the statue and some days you're the pigeon.
It's one of my favorite warm weather scents.
I don't have a signature fragrance. My signature changes a little bit every day, why shouldn't my fragrance?
best gym/workout scent (don't wear it for anything else)
underrated IMO
i get quite a lot of unexpected compliments with this beauty
Current Top 10
1) Royal Oud
2) Aventus
3) La Nuit De L'homme EDP
4) L'eau D'issey
5) Terre D'hermes
6) Burberry London
7) MI
8) Le Male
9) Pure Malt
10) GIT
I enjoy wearing OV - an understated easy-to-wear vetiver lite. Mugler Cologne is much too shrill imo, like OV on steroids.
I like it and it's great in hot weather, but I find it a bit pricey and I'm not sure how many slots I have for fresh vetiver in my lineup (currently filled by CdG Vetiverru and I think Guerlain Vetiver and Chanel Sycomore might be ahead of OV in my pecking order).

OV is my default daily fragrance. Perfect for the office. Martin
Found it kind of similar to Mugler Cologne at first. After a few wearings found it more to my liking.
I'll pay the price. One of my favorite CREED's.
I just sold my bottle of it on EBAY. I didn't like it at all. Blind Bought it b/c I LOVE Mona d'Orio's Vetyver, and thought Creed's was worth a try. It is too...um..I don't know. Soapy? There is a note in it that literally makes me scrub it off quickly. I am coming to the conclusion that I don't like vetiver, weird that MdO's Vetyver is one of my top fragrances.

It was my Creed and I got on well with it. But I have so many other fragrances and figured this one I worse least of all so I decided not to restock on it. I may get a small bottle again in future as I prefer it to stronger, smokier vetivers.
I love it. One of the lesser talked about Creeds in their "main line". A wearable, bright, easy to love, people pleasing vetiver.
Very good frag! You can't go wrong with this one! Grown man scent!
I too share the OP's affinity for OV. I actually prefer the vetiver toned down the way it is in OV and really find the citrus in it wonderful and refreshing. OV has this slightly sweet, slightly sour thing going on at times that for some reason just makes me want to keep smelling it. It never seems too much or becomes cloying in any way and is just a great go-to, easy-to-please fragrance. Great warmer weather frag, but I've worn it in colder weather and it suits me just fine then, too. Quite versatile (as many Creed's are) and a great daily wear/office scent, or workhorse scent if you want/need it to be. For me, it's actually tied for second with GIT in the longevity department for Creed, with only Aventus topping it.
Yes, it does smell somewhat similar to Mugler Cologne early on, but the citrus in OV is sooo much brighter, fresher, better, longer lasting and the vetiver more natural smelling. Plus, I find it evolves more than Mugler and the drydown is far better (Mugler doesn't have much of a drydown at all for me). Is Mugler a good substiture for OV? I'd say for most people it probably is, especially due to the price difference. For me, though, OV is worth the extra cash, and earns every penny of it when I wear it!![]()
I think Vetiver > OV. Mugler Cologne is good too, but in a different way. I think the opening in Mugler is at least as good as if not better than the opening of V/OV.
Recently sampled Original Vetiver and really loved it. Will definitely be purchasing a bottle of this one in the spring.
I love it as well
Is the juice worth the squeeze?
Almost finishing my second 4 oz. bottle I can say that I like OV, and I like it a lot, but I don't love it. It is not at the same level as Himalaya or Silver Mountain Water in the Creed stable.
As a vetiver, it is only second fiddle to the great vetivers like Grey Vetiver, Guerlain, Indian Vetiver etc.
Again, I like it but I would not walk a mile to get it.

Perfume lovers of the world UNITE!!!!!
Unlimited amounts of love for this classy, fresh and clean fragrance. I get a huge amount of greens and herbs from it, mixed with soap and vetiver. Amazing, just amazing. Love it!
