Default Creed doesn't seem to have any patchouli based frags

    Odd, no?

That is a little odd. I hadn't noticed before...

You know what, I haven't really noticed until you've mentioned it. It is kinda weird. Would live to see what can Creed do with that note.

Maybe we'll see something from them in the future.

Aventus has patchouli in it, but that's the only one I know of.

Creed seems to play it safe and focus using light materials as oppose to heavy ones. Even Original Santal feels light considering something like that usually doesn't come across as such.

Very interesting and thank you for bringing that point out. I never thought about that and you are absolutely correct. Creed does play it safe by staying away from heavier scents and thus, rarely utilizes patchouli as a note. Though my beloved Bois du Portugal does tend to lean a bit on the heaver side as far as Creed fragrances go. And my 2nd favorite, Aventus, does contain a little of the patch. Thank you for bring this to our attention.

Tabarome is "supposed" to have patchouli in the basenotes

Another factor could be that Creed doesn't like hippies .

That thought did come to mind when I saw the title.
I don't have a signature fragrance. My signature changes a little bit every day, why shouldn't my fragrance?

I definitely pick up the patchouli note in Aventus.

Creed doesn't venture into heavy earthy notes that often. Notes such as patchouli, civet etc are used with a light hand. I recall reading an Olivier Creed interview where he stated that his style of fragrances are light, etc.

As others say, including Creed's themselves, it's the Creed's way of doing perfume.

+1 IMHO this is Creed's patchouli scent. It's very prominent to me too and blended really well with the vanilla and birch wood.
