Default D&G Pour Homme - which version?

    Hi guys!

I recently got a official sample of D&G Pour Homme from a fellow BNer. I really loved the smell! And it was really unique for me compared to the common aquatics/citruses around here in my country. I plan on purchasing one in the future. But when I researched about it, I learned that there are three versions of this perfume. One is the vintage classic in 1994, the reformulation in 2012, and it seems there was also a reformulation in between those two?

I'm confused, and don't know which is the 'best' one among the three, or which one is the 2012 version or the in-betweener, or which version is the sample I have.

Is there difference between these two?

I dont have the best trained nose, but I have the orig sticker bottle. I smelled the new one today. To me they seem like two different frags. The older bottle is much richer are darker, oozes class to me. new one didnt smell like that at all.

From left to right: I have an original bottle from 2007 (the good stuff), a crappy 2008+ reformulation, and what is supposed to be the 2012 UK reformulation with the tobacco notes in it.

My question is, is the new bottle (in the box) I purchased the good kind or is it still the crappy kind? I don't want to break the seal because if it's no good I'm taking it back. Macy's said this was the newest formula.

I smelled the nasty kind on paper against this new kind on paper and could smell an improvement, but I'm unsure if this is going to smell like the pre-2008 edition.

Can anyone confirm this one is the good/new formula?

EDIT: Added more photos of new box.
