    Default spicebomb vs burberry london

both have cinnamon, leather and tobacco. i hadn't drawn this comparison until recently, but i generally feel that london is a better fragrance (maybe its the pink pepper that drew me away from spicebomb) at half of the price.

Burberry London for classiness. Spicebomb for compliments and slightly and I mean slightly better longevity/projection.

I prefer Spicebomb, but it reminds me much more of Paco Rabanne's 1 Million than Burberry London.

a lot of people say that, but i personally don't see the comparison at all (other than the shared cinnamon note).

Spicebomb by Viktor & Rolf - it's more versatile than Burberry London for Men by Burberry.

I'm surprised to see so many complain about Spicebomb lacking longevity. Each time I've tried it it's lasted the whole day, and yesterday I put on a shirt I'd just laundered and it STILL smelled like Spicebomb. So I'd say the stuff has tenacity. Also, I'm starting to come around to it. It's not the mere bubblegum-blob I initially took it to be; it actually has some lovely layers, including the tobacco in the middle and a very clean vetiver in the base.

I think London is a slightly better fragrance, but I get better projection and longevity out of Spicebomb. I also find it to be a lot more versatile. London is something I have a hard time wearing even though I like it.

If I had to choose one it would be Spicebomb.

My initial thought on Spicebomb was that it's a combination of One Million and London. I like it better than those, though, as I think the combination (at least, of things that are reminiscent) has more personality than either on their own.

Granted, I just put Spicebomb on 45 minutes ago and I've only sampled London once, I don't see much between the two. I smell similar stuff with 1 Million (as many have noted). I also read someone compare it to Chanel Egoiste...and I can see that a little as well. Anyone else?

I haven't smelled London in a while but recall liking it. SB is nice but I found it to be somewhat unwearable. I've been meaning to test it again but not sure where I put my sample. Perhaps this tells me where importance lies.

I see a lot of people post this about London, but personally, I find it to have pretty decent versatility, but only in colder weather. Yes, it has the spicey, boozy parts, but it also has the cool, clean & classy vibe about it that I actually find quite versatile. The little projection it gives, to me, is the cool, clean & classy....smelled up close, though, it's a little spicier & boozy. Either way, my pick is London....I think it's a fantastic & very well blended fragrance. Just wish it was a bit more concentrated...

Easily Burberry London. Spicebomb is a decorated car deodorizer. It is horrible. These companies are putting out more and more colognes that are just dressed up deodorizers.

I have both, I don't think they're similar, spicebomb got a sweeter scent to me. But for some reason I started to wear London more now and it seems that I can pick up the scent more than spicebomb and it seems like it last longer on me than spicebomb. Maybe my nose is so used to spicebomb since I've wear it for a long time

I prefer London, but I think Spicebomb is a higher quality fragrance. The ingredients and blending, imo, are superior. But London's opening still ranks as one of my all time favorites. I love it. I enjoy Spicebomb too.

Quite similar, but Spicebomb feels like a very cheap, synthetic version of Tobacco Vanille.

I absolutely love london. There was something in spicebomb that caused a gag reflex to happen... had to wash it off right away. I'm not sure what it was. I did smell the similarities though. Strange..

    I agree 100%.

I got a nice aftershave balm from my Brother for Christmas last year, I thought it was a little subtle initially but grew to love it - it was L'Occitane Eaux De Bas. I heard great things about Spicebomb and when I finally tried it I was suprised at how similar it was to the Eau De Bax. In fact a girl at work asked me if I was wearing Spicebomb when I had just applied the Eau De Bax that morning!

In terms of Burberry London, I love it! I get a lot of mulled wine, leather, spices and cinnamon from it, I wouldn't say it's anything like Spicebomb though.

London is much better than Spicebomb. Spicebomb on the other hand reminded me of Eau Des Bavx & Bvlgari Black a little, both of these are, of course, much superior to the SB.

Both are greats among winter designer scents. the newer formulations of London with more wine/apple/pine/spice, and less pepper/tobacco, are very good. It's getting better with age I think.

Spicebomb still has a brutally awful candy top, but the Tobacco-Vanille heart and the woody/clean-musk base are awesome for a designer scent.

Glad I'm not the only one who sees the similarity between these two; I routinely confuse them when I smell them "in the air", so to speak. That said, I'd wear London over Spicebomb. Spicebomb is cinnamon gum on my skin, whereas London has a slightly earthy, vetiver/leather drydown that I dig.

A*men Taste of Fragrance is a bomb of spice. Spicebomb is a sugar bomb.

  54. #54

Default Re: spicebomb vs burberry london

Spicebomb is more similar to Creed's Royal Oud. Royal Oud has the same tobacco and leather + spices, but it is slightly drier than Spicebomb, not as spicy. Burberry London is much lighter and woodier than either of these - probably from cedar or guaiac wood that lightens the impact of spice. I personally like London best of these, but they are all very good.
