Default Difference between the Allure Homme Sports?

I'm not huge into the "sport" scents, but I like them enough to own ONE. So...I'm collecting a bunch of sport samples to pit against each other. I have quite a few already, including Allure Homme Sport. However, I do not have Allure Homme Sport Cologne Sport or AHS Eau Extreme.

Thoughts on these three? Are they different enough to sample all three? What IS the difference between them? Is there one that projects better/lasts longer?

I tested the Cologne version and loved the lemon opening which is similar to Edition Blanche, but the projection and longevity was poor. Edition Blanche is a much better option. The Extreme version is more along the lines of Allure Homme than AHS. Personally I prefer the original over Extreme and don't find it has very much in common with AHS.

They are different enough to sample each. The extreme version definitely lasts longest on me & is my preference of the 3, although the cologne version is nice & would fair better if it lasted longer. Extreme has elements of both regular AHS & Allure Homme to me. It's mainly fresh (mandarin & mint undertones), powdery, with a little bit of a pepper kick in the middle & a nice tonka dry down.

Cologne is too light to be worthwile to me. Sport is just right and the definitive version. Eau Extreme is quite sweet, and frankly like it's already been said is more similar to things like Chanel Allure, Dolce & Gabbana The One and other not too powerful sweet scents. The extreme version is not similar to Allure Homme Sport to me.

Ooooh...if Eau Extreme is anything like The One, i'll be very happy.

My two favorite versions of allure were the Cologne Sport (light, clean lemon/citron that dries to a soapy green musk). you must apply heavily to get a full sense of the soapy drydown.

and the Allure Blanche (vibrant lemon that dries to a dusty opaque cedar and light amber)

Don't take my word for it cause I don't have the most expert nose, but to me Eau Extreme is not similar to the regular sport (that's much lighter, citrusy). Extreme is much sweeter, like Allure and The One sweet to me. More similar to Allure, but very sweet nevertheless. Frankly more suitable for fall imo than in summer, and definitely not a sport frag by any means

That's what I get out of the Extreme version. It's the mint in the beginning and the Tonka in the dry down. Sort of like a Thinmint Girlscout cookie.

Eau Extreme is a delicious scent which bears closer to Allure Homme, than any other fragrance in the line. It is my favorite of the sport scents and second to that would be Edition Blanche.

I am reviving this thread because I still am having difficulties getting the differences. Does anybody have a handle on how these compare to each other?

    I am seeing:

    Chanel Allure Homme Sport
    Allure Homme Sport Cologne Sport
    Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme
Allure Homme Sport Edition Blanche (discontinued?)

Some people are saying that one of these smells very similar to Dior Homme Cologne 2013 - which is a favorite of mine. But which one and whats the difference between the first three - really.

I was concerned a while back that Edition Blanche was going to be discontinued, but I think it is still going to be available via Chanel website. Excellent creamy lemon scent with great longevity. My favorite from the line.

Sport Cologne Sport is the closest to DHC2013. Lighter and fresher than any of the other Allures. Not identical to DHC2013, but if you already own the Dior, this one may be a little redundant.

AHS is a long lasting spicy fresh orange filled with aldehydes - quite similar to Versace Pour Homme. Quite long lasting.

I don't own Eau Extreme, so I am not that familiar with that one, but the one time I wore it I was not very impressed.
    Seasonal favorites:

    1. Xerjoff - Nio
    2. Creed - Aventus
    3. Tom Ford - Grey Vetiver
    4. The Different Company - De Bachmakov
    5. Dior - Homme Sport 2008
    6. Montale - Aoud Legacy
    7. Creed - Virgin Island Water
    8. by Kilian - Straight to Heaven
    9. Creed - Original Cologne
    10. Clive Christian - 1872 for Men

I believe AHS EB has been replaced by AHS EB EDP version since 2014.

Thanks for the descriptions. I know I enjoy the series and already have DH Cologne 2013 - your descriptions are a helpful confirmation.

Dior Homme Cologne 2013 and Allure Homme Sport Cologne are very similar; both fantastic. I like the Chanel slightly more.

Edition Blanche is available from Chanel boutiques or online.

Allure Homme Sport is a staple in fragrance world. There's even a second version marketed as Versace Pour Homme. And it has its own flanker, Eau Extreme.

I have Extreme. On the skin it smells like a musky powder but the sillage smells pretty darn good, like minty/very subtle lemony baby powder to me.

I have samples of sport and Blanche inbound so I'm post my thoughts when I get to try those...

Never heard of blance sport edition... No opinion on that one. Cologne isnt worth owning that I remember. Both the regular sport and extreme are good though I think. Extreme is basically a more well.. ah... extreme version of the regular I guess. Basically a tonka bomb much more sweet sorta version of it. With not as much of a cleaning detergent sorta vibe.

Might be kinda redundant to own both unless you love the smell. But they both are good compliment getters. So if you like the smell, I guess its worth having, wear one when its warmer or durning the day then one for colder sorta times or dates etc.

Tried sport today... Compared to Extreme it's less sweet and without the mint. I'm not feeling it... I don't like how the citrusy opening turns into a powder. It also feels a bit feminine to me for some reason.

    Extreme > Sport

    Will try Blanche later.
