Default The Original Gucci pour homme

    Hello Basenoters,

I'm thinking of springing for a bottle of this juice (1976?) It'll cost a pretty penny as it's quite hard to find.

For those of you who have the original would you buy this again even though it's so expensive now? Do you think it's worth buying and do you still love it?

    Many thanks,

    K.

How much are you paying for it?
I might offer you one of my backups for less.

Yes it is a very nice scent. It's my favorite chypre actually.

I'd buy it, in my opinion, I managed to accumulate quite alluring, yet alas too fleeting memories about this classy scent

I own a vintage bottle that I've found for cheap. I don't know what your concept of "pricey" is but if it's more than $150 for a 100ml, I would pass...

I would gladly buy it! I love it a lot. It has its similarities with Guerlain's Derby (which i also own) but is its own distinct scent.

    Thank you Gentlemen,

I purchased the bottle- it was a 60ml. Was looking at a 120ml but it was a ridiculous price.

    I'm looking forward to it.

    Many thanks,

    K.

    Hey koala501 -

Congratulations! I love this scent and I am actually in a late night, full-wearing of it right now after a hot shower on a cold, crisp night. The beauty of this classic masterpiece from Guy Robert is timeless.

How do you feel about it?

    Cheers, my friend.

Some perfumes are as fragrant as an infants flesh, sweet as an oboes cry, and greener than the spring; While others are triumphant, decadent or rich; Having the expansion of infinite things, like ambergris and musk, benzoin and frankincense, which sing the transports of the mind and every sense.

I guess you compared CdG 2Man to Gucci pour homme (2003) and not the original (1976) here?!
