Thread: Soft custard perfume |
I am looking for a soft, sweet (but not sickly or synthetically sweet) perfume that smells like:
- almonds,
- soft cacao / white chocolate,
- custard,
- pudding,
- honeydew or
- soft candied fruits
I also like perfumes that have a little bit of a wine or soft liquor scent (without being overbearing).
My body chemistry *hates* any strong/heavy notes, esp of:
patchouli, pine, incense, lemon or any overbearing spices.
Any recommendations? ( Thank you! )

Try Dior Hypnotic Poison.

Agreed on HP also try Acqua di Palma Mandorlo di Sicilia. Lovely soft almond. You may want to try Dior Addict which I'm assured is the smell of vanilla custard
Parfum de Nicolai Kiss Me Tender.
DONNA
Laurence Dumont lineup has something in this venue (Madeleine?). Le Maison de la Vanille has two also (their Discovery Coffret is also a very good value and all four are worth trying).
How about Hanae Mori the Original? Vanilla, soft berry undertones, light and gentle with nice projection and decent longevity. Will not break your bank either. RIght there with it, is Chopard Casmir.
+1 AdG Blu Mediterraneo Mandorlo di Sicilia-- candied almonds with a root beer float (root beer with vanilla ice cream) vibe.
Alessandro Mazzolari bitter almond, honey, heliotrope and vanilla.

eta: Organza Indecence might be exactly what you're looking for, if you can find it

I have the exact thing just beyond brain retrieval.....!
Creme brulee with a drop of bourbon. Aawww...... I will edit once I can remember.
It is one of the Luckyscent Decennial fragrances. I will check when I get home.
Ultra-cheapies (yet not cheap-smelling nor synthetic odorous sensations at all) by Yves Rocher that might do the trick:
Les Plaisirs Nature- Vanille Bio
Monoi de Tahiti
Secrets d'Essences- Vanille Noire
Although very different from each other, they all three have very natural-smelling vanilla-based variations and all come close to that comforting, creamy custard note.
Madeline by Ava Luxe, unfortunately it's discontinued.

Not particularly custard, as it is absolutely dry: Cara by Farmacia SS. Annunziata. The finest italian almond pastry with vanilla icing sugar. A warm, grown up sweetie.
For a soft custard-y smell: Laura Mercier Crème Brulee
For soft almonds (similar to, but not as sweet as Keiko Mecheri's Loukhoum perfumes): Perfumerie Generale Tonkamande.
If you like roses and saffron, this smells like rice pudding to me: L'Artisan Safran Troublant.
I also suggest Serge Lutens Rahat Loukoum!
Un Bois Vanille by Serge Lutens...hands down! For an inexpensive, straight-up vanilla, try Vanille by Molinard.
