    Default Tropical cologne?

    Does anyone know any colognes that make you smell tropical? lol Basically any cologne that reminded you of a topical scent in some way... Out of those what would be your favorite that you could recommend? Thanks

    Beat me to it. My SOTD it just so happens.

    Also try Cote D'Amour, L'artisan - very feint and subtle, just nice for warm humid weather.

    Tropical could be asweet fruity drink (rhum etc) or could be tropical flower.

    Off the top of my head, Calyx (guava and flowers), and, in niche, Manoumalia (tropical gardenia).

    I came here to +1 Creed's Virgin Island Water so in order to justify my presence here... Maybe try Pina Colada from Demeter Fragrance Library, or any of their other tropical frags; Papaya, Passion Fruit, Pineapple, Punch... or anything else that begins with P apparently...

    I live in the tropics with basically 30'C outdoors the whole year. White florals really give you the feeling of the tropics. Jasmine flowers, champaca, frangipani, orange blossoms....the scents of a tropical evening.

    I recommend Tubereuse Criminelle by Serge Lutens - a rather sweet, marzipan like tuberose flower that morphs into orange blossoms. It fits perfectly in a tropical evening.

    And - Narcisse Noir - even better if you can find the vintage juice.
    * Current Favourites *
    Amouage: Lyric Man & Essenza di Colonia Acqua di Parma
    Serge Lutens: Fille en Aiguilles & Gris Clair & Fleurs d'Oranger & Tubereuse Criminelle & Sarrasins & Fumerie Turque & A la Nuit

    Stop looking. VIW is the definitive tropical cologne. At its best, it cannot be touched. My favorite nighttime summer cologne.
