Two very popular powerhouses go head to head. Which do you prefer?

P/S: It's up to you whether you want to consider the EDT or Parfum version of TDH for this poll.

Both are cloying and synthetic to me but if I had to pick 1 it would be TDH

I'd have to go with TdH in either form. Bleu just doesn't work very well on my skin.

I like both, and I have no issue on BdC's longevity and strength. But between the two, I feel TdH is the better frag overall -- it is more solid, more masculine, and more unique.

I've only tried TdH Parfum...and while I agree that it is more unique than Bleu...I've learned that I grow tired of it if I wear it consecutively. I once wore TdH three straight days, and on the third day, I was bored with it. Tried it again a couple weeks later, and loved it again. I once wore Bleu every day for a week, and actually grew it like/appreciate it more with each passing day.

Both are solid on me...I'll own both...but if I could only pick one, I'd go with Bleu.

Wow! Never seen a comparison between #1 Dud and #2 Dud. Reverse it, and you still have two Duds.

Gentlemen, with all the choices out there, who needs or wants, to settle for such mediocrity.

I'd rather die without ever wearing scent again, before I wear one of these two.

Absolutely agree. Love the EDT version.

My go with TdH Parfum version did not go well as I felt it wore a bit too musky on my skin.

That said, I wore TdH EDT the other day and I can see myself, others may differ, only enjoying TdH EDT in cooler months and preferably in the evening. It really is in many respects a modern powerhouse. My advice is one or two spritzes and go easy on the trigger. For an EDT it how powerful projection and longevity.

It was difficult for me to fathom why Chanel did Bleu. For me it was a total mess of discordant notes trying to be too many things to too many people.

Definitely TdH. As others have said, it works well for just about any occasion; combine the flexibility with the quality of the fragrance and you have a winner.

Cannot tolerate the Iso E super note in TDH. Way too much of it. I'd go with the Bleu.

The other is a very good fragrance indeed.

Teach, you make an interesting point as I have had the exact same experience. Bleu is strange in that way; it actually has many facets that unfold during the course of a week or so, some of which I find very interesting. I tend to like it more the more often I wear it.

I still voted TdH because when I'm in the mood for it, it's absolutely perfect to me. But I'm a big fan of both.

I agree that these two are an odd poll choice. The only similarity is they are both found at Sephora.
I enjoy both. If my wife liked it at all, I would wear TdH more than Bleu.

    Interesting comparison.

When I first smelled TdH I thought it was absolutely amazing - earthy orange and flint, very autumnal. I couldn't get enough of it. Kept sniffing myself. Loved it.

About two weeks later, I found it headache inducing and nauseating. The love affair was over and I can't ever go back. The smell has no attraction for me even now months later.

As for Bleu dC, I initially found it fairly bland and disappointing. However, in a complete reverse to TdH the more I wore it the more it grew on me, I really began to find it not bland whatsoever but complex and full of distinguishable notes, primarily incense and grapefruit - two of my favourite notes.

I think initially I was hoodwinked by the 'Bleu must mean aquatic' idea. Not so. This is an all year round, complex and versatile fragrance that just gets better and better with each wearing.

Oh, and ladies love it too. I can see why.

    Bleu de Chanel wins.

Yeah, I know what you mean. On the surface they are too different to compare, aside from a grapefruit top note. I didn't post the thread but I reckon OP might be drawing parallels based on them both being versatile and all year round scents. But what do I know.
