    Its okay I guess.
Any opinions I post here about frags only reflect MY PERSONAL TASTE and only my personal preference which could change at any moment.

Pros: Classic fragrance. Nice mix of mint, lavendar, and vanilla. Excellent longevity. Projection beast!
Cons: Reformulation. Bottle design. Too popular, feel like everyone has worn this once.

Still a fan of JPG - Le Male.

I go back and forth on whether LeMale or A*Men is the worst fragrance I've ever smelled. My opinion has nothing to do with the popularity of either. If I had smelled each when they came out and they had then been discontinued I would not have had to wonder why.
I don't have a signature fragrance. My signature changes a little bit every day, why shouldn't my fragrance?

I couldn't agree with you more. My sentiments exactly. Those are the same two frags that I dislike the most too. I know it's all subjective, but often times I wonder if some guys like these two just because the majority of others like them as well. I wear things that I like, and don't take into consideration how popular or how many others are wearing them. No originality in that if everyone walks around smelling the same.

And excellent, groundbreaking blend that fell victim to its success: it has been such a hit that you will find zillions of guys wearing it as well as zillions of knock offs.

I am not a fragrance snob, but best sellers can saturate the taste of even non-aficionados. So I wear it, but with discretion.

This is my favorite fragrance and I am trying Le male terrible and Fleur De Male. Are there any other fragrances that a LE male lover would like that you would recommend?

I have read multiple times that a higher quality Le Male can be found in Amouage Reflection Man. I haven't smelt it so check out the reviews as some people seem to swear by it.

Don't like it that much, and plus it's a Joop Homme's ripoff!

I quite like it, I was bought a bottle for Christmas once and used it all, but have never bothered to replace it so I guess I don't like it that much.

I always try it out when I visit a store with the intent of maybe buying it again, but just can't bring myself to do it...

Although I do tend to recommend trying it to the younger guys on here who ask for suggestions.

The first time I tried it, I rushed out of the store to scrub it off.
The second time I tried it, I was able to manage it but felt sick afterwards.
Overall, it is not my cup of tea.
    Less fragrance is more.

My bottle is the April 2011 formulation.
Is this close to the original or has it been re-formulated a lot??
    Thanks everyone

It is OK, but frankly you can get Cuba Gold which smells almost identical for ~$10 for a 3.4oz bottle. The added plus of Cuba Gold is you don't have to look at the bottle with the bulge.

It used to be great (before reformulations and before I found this site).

It's JPG's joke on all the straight boys. Get them wearing a "girly" fragrance, in the campiest bottle (the original had a big round pump attachment), with the most homoerotic advertising campaign imaginable. And it worked! Everyone wore it, and it is still possible to smell it, it is still popular despite the reformulations.

Default whats your honest opinion on jean paul le male?

Back in the day I liked and used it a lot. Later on it was used heavily by everyone and their dog, so I kinda got very bored with it. Even today I do smell it sometimes and mostly from types I don't want to associate with so I don't use it anymore.

I think I still have 4/5 of a original formulation bottle in my wardrope

As a scent I think it was nice but way too easy to overdose with and that may be the main reason on its downfall to me.

15 years ago, or so, when I first smelled Le Male, I was excited. The top notes were so alive! Eventually I bought a bottle for someone as a gift, and from wearing some it after that, I turned against the base.

The residual base of many fragrances ruin them for me. Some Le Male left on clothing didn't smell good to me the next day, and it changed the way I smell the scent. Now it's a pass for me.
