Nothing too exciting or unique from those notes, but I'll definitely sample it to see Armani's newest take on a night time fragrance
Fashion house Armani presented its first masculine fragrance Eau Pour Homme in 1984. Sharp, strong, citrusy and aromatic, this one has become a classic among men's fragrances. Almost 30 years later, in February the 2013, Armani launches a new version of Eau Pour Homme and a brand new nocturnal edition Eau de Nuit.
Eau de Nuit, dark and opulent, combines notes of spices, citruses, cedar and iris. The composition is warmer and more sensual than the debut. It opens with accords of bergamot and pink pepper. Spicy notes of cardamom and nutmeg form the heart of the perfume together with flowers of iris and heliotrope. The base consists of cedar, tonka and amber.
British violinist Charlie Siem and Italian photographer (son of Italian Vogue editor in chief Franca Sozzani) Francesco Carrozzini are chosen as the models for the new fragrances. The fragrances are available as 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.
Nothing too exciting or unique from those notes, but I'll definitely sample it to see Armani's newest take on a night time fragrance

Thanks for the heads up. Will be looking out for it.
Why do they do this? This sounds like it has nothing to do with Armani Eau PH, but they reuse the bottle with a slight change, and make out it is a flanker.
An attempt to capitalize on earlier success. Since it happens so often, I assume it probably works to increase sales, at least just after release.
Thanks for the heads up. Could be interesting. Or it could suck like all the other anonymous, synthetic crap for men Armani has come out with since EPH.
What's this, a La Nuit de L'Homme wanna be?
Thanks Stew, will be interested to try this.
I get a ton of compliments with Armani fragrances so I'll be checking this one out!

Why oh why can't they leave tonka out? So sick of it.
I don't get why people pass judgments on new or yet to be released fragrances based on their bottle design & name and are mostly pessimistic about them in general. The only thing I'm going to judge a fragrance is by its smell. Since that is the only purpose a fragrance serves and for which it should be purchased, making me smell good.
Can't wait to sniff this one out!
this seems like la nuit + dior homme and a side of bleu...all of which i love. armani hasnt been cranking on all cylinders lately but regardless ill give it a sniff. remember, its the juice inside, and the rest doesnt matter.
I agree people like the Armani, especially the ladies. I also think the bottle is beautiful.
At least with the bottle, they seem to be attempting to be bring back very fond memories of the original Armani Eau Pour Homme (of which I have an original and cherished bottle as it has been reformulated). The rest of the development seems Code like.
It does not make sense to canabalize Code sales as it is probably their second top seller (next to AdG). However, it really didn't make sense to ruin the original Armani Eau Pour Homme either.
Should at least be worth a wear or two to check it out.
Thanks for sharing Stew.

If it was a Lutens, everyone would be saying how awesome it is to see iris and heliotrope together.
Excited to try this. Armani's scents are always polished, at the very least.

#BBOG!
I'm just saying that this should have been a completely new fragrance with nothing to do with Armani Eau PH, which is one of my favourites. The news is worse than I thought:
http://www.fragrantica.com/news/Arma...Nuit-3907.html
Along with creating a new fragrance and then marketing it as a flanker to something it has nothing in common with, they have decided to "relaunch" the original (meaning yet another reformulation).
AEPH RIP...
------------------------------------------------
For what its worth!
"Spices & citruses".... Erm... right then. HATE when companies do that. Horrible looking bottle too. Next...
You're saying it like this, if they had come up with something completely new in design and name, it wouldn't have caused the reformulation of the original Eau pour Homme, which doesn't make sense to me.
I'm unable to sympathize with you as I've never smelled the original EPH but this reformulation along with the name and bottle design of "Eau Nuit" has nothing to do with "Eau Nuit" being a good fragrance or not. It could turn out to be a quality fragrance in its own right. Only one attribute of a fragrance should decide whether it's existence or creation is good or bad- it's scent. And it's a bit too early to judge that.

It's really quite pleasant, except for the smell (...)

I was today at a fragrance counter of a bigger department store, and smelled many fragrances.. Nothing felt interesting until i smelled this: Armani Eau de Nuit. It was the only one that i liked of the 15-20 fragrances i smelled. Back at home, had this on my other arm. Sprayed to the other arm Fahrenheit Absolute which felt to be closest to Armani eau de nuit (of my collection).
Armani Eau de Nuit was a clear winner in my book, compared to Fahrenheit Absolute! How do you people like it?
Update: Taking my word back, this is not similar to Fahrenheit Absolute. It's more correct to compare this to Dior Homme/Dior Homme Intense.

"Le parfum est la musique du corps" (Marcel Rochas)
I tested it and loved it
Have to check this one out.
I'd really like to try this one as I've liked Armani products in the past.

When was the last time we've seen an actual release from this house that was not a flanker? Or any other considerably successful designer house for that matter?
got it
DHI with tobacco accord
rich in sillage and duration
everything TF Noir is not
they outclassed him on this black scent
aka Blacker than Black!
I bring a 100ml bottle home. I quite like it. Beautiful opening with iris + tobacco. Drydown is less Nuit, but brighter. It's a good designer scent, I think.
