Default Battle of the Safe /Mainstream Scents

Which of these safe & versatile designer scents do you prefer and why? Would also like to hear if you have anything else in mind for this category =)

    Bleu de Chanel
    Platinum Egoiste
    Chanel Allure Homme Sport
    Monte Blanc Legend
    YSL L'Homme
    Prada Amber pour homme
    Versace Pour Homme
    Versace Man
    D&G pour Homme

Of the bunch i'm liking bleu de chanel because its super versatile, clean fresh sporty, sophisticated and it makes you feel young and energetic. Second would probably be YSL L'homme since its soft and warm & fairly versatile. I personally do like platinum egoist but it's a bit wayy to strong / sharp. I can see it giving people headaches.

Out of the list probably Prada APH. I think Gucci pour homme II belongs in that list and beats all of them.

I'd go with YSL L'Homme because of its soft and warm versatile nature.
I think Mugler Cologne is lacking in your list!

Prada Amber pour Homme is the only one from your list I can tolerate, and only just.

    2) Giorgio for Men vintage (Giorgio Beverly Hills)
    3) Dia Man vintage edt (Amouage)
    4) Les Nombres d'Or Vetyver (Mona di Orio) - tie
    4) Lalfeorosa (O'driù) - tie

    6) Anat Fritz Original Formula and Classical (Anat Fritz)
    7) Captain vintage (Molyneux)
    8) Tzora (Anat Fritz)

Only have tried Chanel Allure Homme Sport, D&G pour Homme and Bleu de Chanel out of these. Didn't care for them.

When I want ultra safe and mainstream I reach for the Boss Bottled, Bvlgari Man (and other Bvlgaris) and Pure Malt.

None of them really - maybe DG pour homme. Also Issey Miyake pour homme, Chanel Allure homme Sport Edition Blanche and Hermes Eau d'Orange Vert and Bel Ami.

D&G PH ( love wich last years and years , has everything great frag need to have, italian stile in his best. )
Chanel bleu ( in first like oposition for the other who hate this one, at the end original fresh feeling he's given me )

There can be add so many frag in this list, but let us stick for the one u have made , it is easier

I'm not familiar with all of these... but have tested PE and YSL L'homme. Thought the former was a bit sweet, and the latter is a nice scent but poor longevity.
I own and like BDC. Think it's a nice, versatile one.

From the list, I'd go with L'Homme by YSL and Bleu de Chanel by Chanel.

D&G Pour Homme out of that list is my favorite. Incredibly likable, masculine, sexy, sweet, Italian

Here is how I rank them:

    Plat Ego > Bleu > L'Homme > AllureSport > Versace PH > Prada Amber >>>>>> D&G

Platinum Egoiste is my favorite designer scent and one of my favorite scents period, so that's obviously my first choice from your list. I particularly like the metallic note and for me the scent is quite unique (I certainly have never smelled anything terribly close to it).

PE is more of a casual scent (IMO) so if I were to pick a second from that list I'd go with Monte Blanc Legend since I also enjoy that and it strikes me as dressier. I actually just tried Legend in a store the day before yesterday, and I'm seriously thinking about picking up a bottle specifically to wear with suits. Fortunately it's in department stores around here so I'll be able to give it a few wearings before deciding.

Out of these scents, I prefer Prada Amber, the two Chanels, YSL L'Homme, simply because they represent, in a positive way, a compromise solution between a "safe" scent and a creative, slightly uncommon one. Pleasant, inoffensive, yet also not overly generic scent experiences, at least, to my nose.

IMO, L'Homme > Plat. Egoiste > Prada. L'Homme just exudes class.

I'm sorry but I don't like Platinum Egoiste at all simply because it reminds me and others of Ambercrombie Fierce and many of my friends hate that smell because of the A&F store. Even if not for that I very much prefer soft scents.

My safest mainstream scent is also my all time favourite which is Gucci PHII. I would rank Chanel AHS and L'homme just below. Don't really care for the rest. Especially D&G PH.

Gucci Guilty, Armani Summer, and Polo Black and or Polo Double black like I always say.

Bleu de Chanel & Prada Amber pour homme . I would add Chanel Edition Blanche to that list.

I'd probably add Versace's The Dreamer to that list as well (especially the mid & drydown).

Bleu and L'Homme from the list. Boss Bottled would fit right in there.

-Prada Amber pour homme (great fragrance but doesnt last long on my skin)
-Versace Pour Homme (as safe as it gets)
-Versace Man (not realy a safe blind buy but a great fragrance)
-D&G pour Homme (i am talking about the vintige one, great fragrance long lasting just a perfect scent for any season)

Probably in this order. But I don't feel like Versace Man fits in the list. I dont find it safe or mainstream. YSL and GPH II are two of my favorites

    YSL L'Homme = GPH II
    Versace Pour Homme
    Versace Man
    D&G pour Homme

D&G pour Homme, most complemented and hard not to like. It is safe though so it depends what you are looking for in fragrance.
