Default New fragrance from Davidoff: The Game

Launching soon: The Game from Davidoff. A woody aromatic signed by nose Bernard Ellena of Symrise.

Notes: Juniper berry, Gin Fizz accord, iris, precious woods, ebony.

The poker chips-inspired bottle is a nice touch.

The press release even includes a little poem:

    Never underestimate the stakes.
    Always play fair.
Master the rules and leave nothing to chance.
Because life is a game and the winner takes it all.

Well the bottle looks cool, maybe a bit cheesy like something you would buy in a Vegas gift shop. I like it though and the gin/juniper notes sound nice. I am a martini fan, so I could see spraying this on and hitting the casinos in the middle of the night!

Davidoff seem to be focusing on their bottles (Champion was a dun-bell) rather than the juice, but if it works for them then great.

The game's bottle is a nice idea, although a touch cheesy, but if the juice is good who cares right?

The notes seems promising and the bottle looks cool.

I hope Davidoff is going to nail it again like what they did wonderfully on Zino.

I didn't think of some wrestler (I had to look him up). I thought of the Queen track "Play The Game". If there is a TV ad campaign, whats the chances that track gets used?

This is now in branches of Boots in the UK.

Juniper Berries, then a undercurrent of powderyness joins in that quickly becomes soapyness before being joined by what I've always associated with dihydromyrcenol. After about an hour the soapyness, or should I say the smell of laundry products becomes pretty much all that is perceivable. This last note is going to be one of those musks they put in Lenor/Downy, but at least its not one of the more nasty smelling ones.

    No woods to speak of.

Hmm, sounds like everything I hate! I'll still give it a try.

I tried it last week. It smells like something you'd hang in the rim of a toilet bowl.
