I don't have Eau Sauvage EDP but can vouch for Jaipur EDP. Smells of class. It could be bough for 60 odd dollars at fragnet or fragx
I have a $100 gift card burning a hole in my pocket. . .I want to spend it on a frag I couldn't afford normally.
So, I narrowed The Choice down to Jaipur EDP or Eau Sauvage EDP.
Love them both. Please comment on sillage/longevity. . .or suggest another EDP option!
Mille grazie in advance for your help!

Life is too short to sample. Buy Blind| I am generally not interested in batch hunting or weak fragrances.

Hermes - Terre d'Hermes pure parfum
Thierry Mugler - A Men Pure Malt

Rochas - Lui
Davidoff - Cool Water
Mancera - Cedrat Boise
Own and Love both but I prefer the Dior scent.
Depends on your liking/preference. Sillage and longevity is, at least to my nose, comparable, so I'd recommend the first if a spicy, near-gourmand scent is preferred, the second, if the leather-citrus-chypre style is more of a favorite.
Eau Sauvage Parfum is terrible smelling, IMO, so I would go with Jaipur.

I own both. Prefer the Jaipur Homme, edp. Smooth, classy, vanillic. Eau sauvage, edp, is completely different. I get a pronounced vetiver note from it.
There is no Eau Sauvage EdP.
I find Jaipur Homme EdP a bit more classic than Eau Sauvage Parfum, but prefer both of these to Jaipur EdP.
I like the Jaipur over the Eau Sauvage EDP.
I'm not OLD...I'm VINTAGE!
Jaipur over Eau Sauvage EDP, but Eau Sauvage original over both.

Jaipur eau de parfum - i have two ; thats how greedy i am.
Eau Sauvage 'Parfum' is a good scent, to my nose, but Jaipur Homme EDP is way above it, in all aspects (smell, projection, longevity). I have Jaipur Homme EDT, but I'm sure it beats Eau Sauvage 'Parfum'. Moreover, I don't find Eau Sauvage bottle worthy, in all versions.
Jaipur EDP is a stunning fragrance, and was at one time in my Top 3 scents. Eau Sauvage Parfum is a difficult wear for me.
Franeri,
excuse me, but I'd REPLACE the second point with Boucheron Pour Homme Eau de Parfum.
This citrus fragrance would concur with vintage Eau Sauvage but totally beats Eau Sauvage Parfum in class.
Back to choice, then you decide luxury citrus or luxury oriental do you really want.

Odor, I own Boucheron PH EDP and Jaipur EDT. I like both but the Jaipur is better. . .hands down.
Taking in all this sage advice, and considering that the Jaipur EDP is about $20 cheaper than the ESP, I'm going for the Jaipur EDP!
Thanks for all insight, Fellow BN'er's.

Have both, love both but I would say that Jaipur is more work friendly if that matters. Eau Sauvage is a POWERHOUSE and Jaipur is very subdued and classic and warm.

Both of them ( one for colder days one for warmer ... )
I got the Jaipur EDP (100ml) and Caron's Parfum Sacre EDP (100ml) for $97.
Good deal.

Jaipur EDP, without a doubt.
It will be my signature scent when I'm 50 years old and up!![]()
