Thread: do you have a signature scent? |
i'm familiar with so many great scents, i don't even have a signature anymore.
maybe i'll find one, but when i do, it often changes, and there's nothing wrong with that.
right now, as of 2012 overall, the fragrance that got the most wearing out of me was One Million.
what about you? do you fragrance collectors have a signature scent?
I do you some more than others, but none for me really.
No, I'm always wearing/testing different scents.
Impossible.
I try to be good about rotating my frags, and never wearing the same thing twice within in a week or more. But the best candidate I have for my signature scent, should I ever decide to go that route, is VanCleef & Arpels PH. That one just does everything right for me.
Can't say I do.
No, I own too many scents and like too many different ones to be able to pick any one as my signature. I do, however, tend to wear Odeur 53 and Chanel Eau de Cologne more than the others these days... but then again, that's probably just because they're in such big bottles, haha...

No. But, if I had to pick one, it'd be A*Men. I reach for that the most, it's perfect for my needs.
Not for sure yet. I have go to fragrances, such as Habit Rouge, Mitsouko, Chanel No.19.
I'm not OLD...I'm VINTAGE!
I'm always wearing different scents, but when I think of a "signature scent," I think of two things: 1) My "go-to" scent. The one I find myself reaching for the most. 2) The one that when others smell something similar to it, they think of me.
That said...right now, I would say:
Year round = Mont Blanc Legend
Warmer weather = Tom Ford for Men
Cooler weather = Tom Ford for Men Extreme (once I buy it)

Not really. But I do choose Menthe Fraiche when I do not know what to wear.
Current top 10 (No order):
1. Pure Havane
2. Menthe Fraiche
3. Tobacco Vanille
4. L'Air Du Desert Marocain
5. Green Irish Tweed
6. Fahrenheit
7. Musc Ravageur
8. Tonka Imperial
9. Gucci Pour Homme II
10. Dior Homme Intense
I guess my favorite and most worn fragrance (by far) is Aventus. But I have so many, I only wear that about once / month.
With a large collection, you can't really have a signature scent - unless you really neglect a large portion of your collection.
Current Winter Favorites:
1. House of Matriarch - Blackbird
2. Brückner - Aoud 1
3. Creed - Royal Oud
4. Stéphane Humbert Lucas 777 - Generation Man

6. by Kilian - Straight to Heaven
7. Stéphane Humbert Lucas 777 - Mortal Skin
8. Ormonde Jayne - Black Gold
9. Creed - Royal English Leather
10. by Kilian - Cruel Intentions
Nope, and never will.
No signature scent here. Just as I don't wear the same clothes everyday, I don't wear the same scent everyday.

Before I started collecting, Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme was my signature scent. I swear I went thru at least 4 125ml bottles.
CURRENT TOP 5
1. Dior Homme Intense
2. Creed Aventus
3. Tom Ford Extreme
4. Gucci Pour Homme II
5. Terre d'Hermes
Nope. This. Is. Basenotes!!
keepin' it musky
It is not necessary my most used scent but I always think of Gucci PH II as my signature because its "me in the bottle" and my lady (and ex too) love it on me.
Not yet.
I wear Costume National's 21 with more frequency than others in the spring though.
If I ever have a signature scent, it would be Gucci PH II. I understand what you mean by 'me in a bottle', I'm kind of glad that it's not a popular fragrance with the public, as I don't think I'd want to smell it on anyone else. I see it as my scent. Smells amazing, versatile, good all year round, not too expensive.
No!
My answer is "sort of", a signature rotation being more of an option for me. While I cannot settle for one single signature frag, it is however pretty easy, pleasant, versatile for me to alternate a range of at least 10 and sometimes up to more than 30-40 I tend to wear, in sequence, over quite similar periods of time, in quite similar quantities, in a quite similar recurrent applications.
The last time I truly had a signature scent would have been 25 years ago when I wore Drakkar Noir almost exclusively. Since then I've always owned at least a few fragrances and used more than one with regularity.
I don't have a signature fragrance. My signature changes a little bit every day, why shouldn't my fragrance?
No, not since I started collecting properly.
I always wear Versace Dreamer if I'm on a date but I just rotate my other fragrances for work / gym / weekends etc.
Used to have signature scent (Azzaro Chrome) till about 4 years ago, but now I just go around my relatively large collection.
But anytime I decide, I can go with just 10 to maximum 15 fragrances For years and years...
the only cologne i have been throw 3 100ml is hermes poivre samarcante.
i have about a ''colection'' of 10 botlles.
not really. I started to build a collection and own mostly ones that I could wear any day. I have some favourites like Allure Homme Sport, Pure Havane, but I am just wearing them occassionally.

Too many great fragrances to wear only one.
