Melbourne fragrance enthusiasts are invited to a very special guided tour of the Burnley Gardens with Steven Broadhurst, Creative Director of Tommi Sooni. The Burnley Gardens are located on the Burnley Campus of Melbourne University, which is off Yarra Boulevard (south of the Swan Street bridge).
Steven has kindly offered to show us around this 'hidden treasure' garden which features a variety of native Australian flowering plants which inspired at least one of his amazing perfumes (Passerelle).
When: Thursday 23rd May at 11.00am
There is no parking on campus, and you have to pay to park on Yarra Boulevard where the main entrance is located. But if you drive a little further there's free parking at the adjacent sporting grounds (Kevin Bartlett Reserve). We will meet at the nearby back entrance -see map here.
Public transport info:
By tram - From Flinders Street along the Exhibition Street extension into Swan Street, tram number 70 to stop number 18
By train - Nearest stations are Burnley, Hawthorn or Heyington (I think Heyington is the closest).
Afterwards, we will most likely stop for lunch/coffee at the campus Cafe.
Hope to see you there :-)
