    Default Office-appropriate scents

    Hi all! Newbie here

I was wondering whether anyone could recommend some perfumes that would be good for a professional/business school environment. I'm a 24 year old female, pretty new to the fragrance scene (know what i dislike though - namely aldehylics, animalic, and overly sweet scents) and price is not a huge issue for me as long as the scent is right... less than 200usd/100ml would be ideal, though.

Thanks in advance for any input!

My favorite business scent, especially for when it's warm, is Chanel Sycomore, a fresh vetiver with a touch of woods that make it very elegant. It is found only in Chanel stores; the 200ml is about $215, more than your budget, but not so expensive per ml. They also sell a 75ml bottle for $110 or so.

I also second the icy queen Chanel Cristalle (though the eau verte is a little more relaxed). In general, green chypres seem very professional and clean, so, in addition to Cristalle, also things like Jacomo Silences, Piguet Futur, etc.

Great point. I wear everything to work including Musc Ravageur, but I do so with discretion (1 spray only) and have never gotten in trouble over it (and still get to enjoy the scent for myself).

I, too, was going to say Sycomore. I also wore Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien for many years as my go-to everyday work/office perfume. The light, citrusy thing was enjoyable to me, uplifting, easy to wear and liked/inoffensive to those around me.

Also- Would say most of the Prada and Bvlgari lines are very office appropriate.

thanks all for your suggestions i do tend to wear all my perfumes regardless of the occasion but because my personal preference is for strong scents and because i tend to not be able to smell scent on myself soon after the initial spray, i'd like to be on the safe side

You can wear those strong scents.

    1. No more than one spray
    2. Apply an hour before you leave for the office

Follow these 2 rules and you can wear anything you want.
