Default Top 10 fragrances that the French like best

    From premiumbeautynews.com:

What brands of perfumes French men and women do like best? A few days before Christmas, a decisive period that represents around 20% of annual sales, a new survey by Promise Consulting Inc., a market research firm specializing in the measurement of the “brand value”, tries to bring some clarifications by crossing the women’s and of men’s respective preferences.

The 10 fragrances women prefer for themselves.

Guerlain must be relieved: Shalimar is not on the list (gasp, horror!) but the big push for La Petite Robe Noire has been a success. Thierry Wasser will get a New Year's bonus, I bet

Can't believe there were 3 different Hugo Boss fragrances in the men's list. Marketing does work wonders!

Interesting, thank you! About twenty years ago, a friend visiting from overseas gave me a bottle of Tresor. I loved it, but never bought another bottle after using that one up. I'm afraid to sniff it now!

I'm really surprised by the results in the mens section, 3 Boss fragrances? Really?

Shows that the French are just as prone to be influenced by advertising as we lesser mortals!

Thanks for sharing. Even though predominantly mainstream, the top 10 fragrance choices lack neither taste nor diversity nor imagination.

Interesting. I don't own anything from the mens list in my wardrobe.

Furrypine, you are right; I've been in France for the past couple months and have seen a ton of advertising for La Petite Robe Noire, in Sephora, TV commercials, internet ads that play before videos, etc. Last week outside the Guerlain boutique on the Champs-Élysées I saw the giant snowglobe fixture advertisement they've put on the sidewalk for it: plays music, lights up, has movable figurines inside, the whole nine yards. Apparently all of it is paying off for them.

I vomited a little bit in my mouth. And it smelled better than 9 out of the Top 10 for Men.

    for swap/sale:
