Default Dsquared Potion = Tommy Bahama original

I was in John Lewis in Oxford St. The other day and the had the new Dsquared fragrance for men in there. I tried it in store and managed to snag a couple of samples.

I gave it a full wearing yesterday and came to the conclusion that it is almost identical to Tommy Bahama original, to the point that it is not worth buying at all if you have the original TB.

That's not to say it isn't nice, it is, warm, spicy etc. Just not different enough to TB to make it bottle worthy for me.
In a world where people smell bad, it is the personal responsibility of every Basenoter to improve the world one SotD at a time...

I've had Tommy Bahama for some time and I own both the EDP and the EDT version of Dsquared Potion.
I have to say that I don't notice much resemblance between TB and either of the two concentrations.
Maybe it's because I know Tommy Bahama too well not be aware of the differences that distinguish it.

Does Potion remind you of anything you've smelled so far?
