    Hello,

Has anyone heard about this fragrance? I can't find any information about it online, but i did run across this link while browsing the Min NY website this morning.

I believe this is Kerosene's first gourmand fragrance. Would definitely love to try it.

The blurb references Manchester & Joy Division - that means a certain blind buy from me!

Although, hey - we don't all drink tea...

The only thing I know is that I have a lot of respect for that guy. Kerosene was a youtube reviewer who didn't fall for the typical foolishness of niche means better and popular means bad. Also, if I'm not mistaken, he hand paints each bottle of his fragrances. That said... I haven't smelled any of them, but if I visit NY again at some point, I intend to.

i have tried every fragrance from kerosene.....across the board they project BIG, and the openings are very brutal...they shine in the drydown though where i though they outperform most and dont go to a skin scent as quickly as most other brand/houses..i particulary like the drydown of roud elements and creature...the fragrance that lasted the longest and projected the most was copper skies(48 hours later is could still smell it on my arm and it still projected some,,,i did not shower for a few days because i was not working and feeling like a bum)...the only fragrances that i disliked from the house was santalum slivers and whips and roses.

oh and i did not try the one that was supposed to smell like raspberry jam.

Received a sample in the mail today! I think I will give a full wearing tomorrow. First sniff of the vial is strong tea with honey ...

(Notes: Earl Grey tea, lemon, bergamot, honeycomb, tonka bean, caramel, vanilla and waffle cone.)
    I've trademarked the color bleu

OK. I've not been a huge fan of Kerosene, but I have been his defender at times. Jacking up the price of his new fragrance to $180 seems excessive for what appears to be simply a honey and Earl Gray gourmand. I'm not sure I'll even bother to sample this one, but I'll maintain an open mind and look out for the comments of those who choose to explore it.

For 100 ml, using mostly natural ingredients, hand painted bottle and hand made label, I think $180 seems pretty reasonable. Also, I believe that the stores that carry it take a percentage of that price.

I also meant to say that Unknown Pleasures was just released this past Wednesday. I'm sure there will be reviews coming soon.

I don't think so. It seems to be a guy named Tom Barber.

I just checked and it's $140, just like the rest of his line. So, any criticism of John for raising his prices (including mine) is totally unjustified. Mea Culpa!

MiN must have corrected the price. Yesterday, it was $180.00.

I am hard pressed to enjoy honey in a fragrance.
Is the juice worth the squeeze?

Sorry to derail this but I was watching the first review posted above and seriously, why the **** do all the YTers pronounce perfumer 'perfume-e-ay"? Holy hell that annoys me (pet peeve alert).

Could it because some folks pronounce as if they read 'perfumier' (which is fairly commonly used)?

I believe they're trying to say the french word parfumeur, which is supposed to be pronounced as par-few-mer.

That's good "Insight". Sorry to add to the "Disorder", but I've heard this a few times and totally agree. If you're going to affect pronouncing things in French, at least get it somewhere in the ballpark. Otherwise, there's nothing wrong with words like "perfumer", "nose", "composer", etc.

I get that it's a french affectation, but why just this word?

Oh, I know why. It's because Marc Robes does it.

One of the 7,000 annoying things about most yt reviewers...

This frag sounds interesting, will sample.

I get a little bit of tea with a honey/caramel. I'm not experienced enough to pick out every ingredient, but it does smell very nice. Longevity is decent. It does start to give me a headache if I smell it too much though.

Not a fan. It's an interesting scent, but it's too lemony and sweet for me. I wouldn't wear this. I got my sample from crystal flacon.

I have tried this gourmand several times and its a good gourmand scent. A nip of lemon of the top and then headfirst into a freshly made waffle cone filled with french vanilla ice cream. Projection is moderate and longevity is, on me, around 8hrs.
There are other gourmands(andvanillas) I prefer. With the high price tagas well I'll pass.
