AHAHAHAAHAA!!! At first glance, I thought Grey Flannel was getting absolutely stomped on because Fahrenheit had 100% of the vote.

...then I realized I was the only one who voted so far. Anyway... I adore Fahrenheit. Last year, I finally decided to buy a bottle of Grey Flannel, but I totally screwed up and ended up buying Eau de Grey Flannel instead. Boy did I regret that!

I LOVE Fahrenheit, I do not like Grey Flannel at all though. I wish the prices were reversed though, I have seen GF at drugstores for around $13!

Grey Flannel. Don't want to smell like oil and grease (Fahrenheit). I'm just funny that way...

I think Grey Flannel only survives by being bought cheap as gifts for Father's day and Christmas.
Luckily, it often comes in a gift set with Eau de Grey Flannel, which smells nearly as odd, but is actually not bad on a hot day.

I have not smelled vintage Fahrenheit, so I cannot really comment on this. I voted GF based on the current versions of both. I like sharp greens. But of course other greens like Bandit are on another planet.

I enjoy both very much. Have been wearing both fragrances for many years. But if I could only have one, it would have to be Fahrenheit or Fahrenheit Absolute.

I admire both fragrances and find them equally unique in their own right. I love the sultry dryness of Grey Flannel.......so dry that I sometimes catch a whiff of something resembling methylated spirits in it. I think with Grey Flannel it's all about careful application. One small spray is perfection and can transform it to the sublime.
Strangely, Grey Flannel doesn't seemed to have weathered as well as Fahrenheit and has become very "old hat".
Jolie Madame is another fragrance I enjoy, very much in the same vein as Grey Flannel and every bit as dry.
I am curious to know if Grey Flannel has suffered over the years with reformulation. What are your views please ?

I voted for Grey Flannel. It has held up amazingly well over the decades, and comes across as sophisticated and sensual. Fahrenheit has changed greatly over time, and has lost its originality.

My Grey Flannel is from 2005 and is just a great frag. It is the only version I have ever tried so I too would be interested in anyone who has tried more than one and read their take of a redo.

I love Fahrenheit, but I like Grey Flannel as well. It's just a matter of degrees and as Alfarom said Fahrenheit is edgier.

I'd love to like Fahrenheit, and there is a lot I do like about it, especially the opening - but I just can't handle the petroleum/burnt rubber note that comes through soon afterwards.

And I really do like Grey Flannel - I guess my wallet should be happier that it's that way round.

Grey Flannel. It's not formulated for kids that's for sure. The current Fahrenheit is just not quite as edgy as the vintage.

    Absolutely, David -

I have the Vintage 4oz Splash bottle labeled as "Cologne". That is what I knew from my early days of scent (high school & especially college when I wore it). The oakmoss has been reduced...but, some people are okay with the reformulation since it's inexpensive and there is still both some (.1%) oakmoss and tree moss, from what others have told me.

However, personally, I will only ever own and wear Vintage.

Cheers, my friend. I hope this finds you well...
