    Default Hotel fragrances

A long time ago, I stayed at the Hotel Concorde Lafayette in Paris and they had a gift shop selling souvenirs of the hotel including a perfume with the hotel logo - non gender specific but a nice fresh green/aromatic scent. It was intriguing enough to pick up a bottle but not sure if they have kept production of that scent - still have more than half a bottle of it today and the scent has not changed. Back in the early 80's, I think Berlin Cosmetics brought out a fragrance called Adlon Pour Homme - a tribute to the famed Hotel Adlon in Berlin - can't remember if there was a womens version but it was released without any consent from the hotel and hence had to be withdrawn very quickly. I managed to find a bottle of the after shave a few years later - nice enough scent. Then there is Caesar's Palace (can't remember if there was a hotel then) - with Caesars Man - which I really like - and also a few womens fragrances. Many years later, Hotel Costes launched their exclusive formula putting hotel fragrances in the uber chic extremely expensive range. Prior to Costes, the other fragrances were very affordable as I guess they were going for the mass market. I have also read that the Plaza in New York has released an exclusive perfume. A little side tracked, when staying at the Sofitel in Munich, they had infused L'Artisan fragance into the lobby and other Sofitels are following suit having a signature L'Artisan scent in a particular premise - I think the fragrances are from the home fragrance line. Has anyone stayed in a particular hotel and found a range of fragrances made for that particular hotel and would that interest you to own any? Would love to hear any comments if anyone has come across anyting interesting whilst travelling ......

Can't say I have. To find something good it would probably have to be in a big hotel like in a casino lobby or something.

Not necessarily an exclusive hotel fragrance, but Shangri-La Qaryat al Beri (Abu Dhabi) had Etienne Aigner toiletries in their bathrooms. I loved the scent so much I went looking in every smelly shop I could find (and there are a LOT in Abu Dhabi) ... finally found Aigner Black for Women and wore it every day for several years.

I have run into Adlon from Berlin Cosmetics. Aside from that and Costes I haven't run into anything of note.
    I saw that!!

Several years ago I stayed at a Sofitel in Washington DC, where the soap in my room was Roger & Gallet Extra Vieille. I was immediately hooked, and went on to build a nice collection of R&G products. Extra Vieille soap remains a favorite, though the nice bath size bars have been discontinued. Extra Vielle fragrance has been my gym bag staple for years, and I've given it as a gift several times. All started by my stay at the Sofitel in DC.

I get to stay in some very nice hotels now and then for my work. The bath products in Trump hotels are very nice. Viceroy hotels - very good soaps and shampoos. Hotel Indigo, a moderately priced boutique brand, has Aveda Rosemary Mint shampoo in-room. Love it so much I've purchased full bottles for home use.

Just about any expensive resort will have good bath products. I've found L'Occitane at one of my favorites in Hawaii. The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel famously had Neutrogena products for many years. I buy their classic scent soap and shampoo, bringng back fond memories of some great beach vacations.

I love that Fairmont resorts use le Labo's Rose 31 products.
