Thread: bespoke fragrances
Has anyone here commissioned a perfumier to create a bespoke fragrance for them? If so, why did you choose to do so?
What did you think of the creative process and your involvement of having numerous smelling sessions?
Were you happy with the final outcome?
What kind of price did you pay for this service?
No I haven't.
I have not comissioned any bespoke perfume yet but since you're in the UK, you might want to talk to fellow Basenoter Chris Bartlett, who runs Pell Wall Perfumes and also offers such a service. His regular masculines are of excellent quality, that much I can say.
I'm sure it will be expensive.
No but I have a Le Labo bottle with my name on it
No, though I had entertained such thoughts before. I fear the possibility of having a bespoke product that smells vaguely like something you could find in the market for a fraction of the fees I paid. Now THAT would be a bummer.

I have two bespoke perfumes from Profumo.it and I like them! I started a thread about it: http://www.basenotes.net/threads/321...custom-perfume!
Yup, Taha at Agaraura offered to make one for me because I didn't get an email about a new release and it sold out before I could try it. It is (real) ambergris, rose and tobacco, and is all natural. Taha had an idea about what kind of frag I enjoy based on what I have bought in the past and feedback I gave him, and the frag he made me is absolutely amazing! Definitely one of the best frags I have ever smelled, in fact all his mukhallats are amazing even though not all are my style.
I have toyed with the idea but I haven't paid for a bespoken perfume yet.
