    Unhappy Help! Spilled Creed Sample

I just spilled about 2.0ml out of a 2.5ml Creed Aventus sample onto my arm?

    What do I do?

Wrap your arm in plastic, ASAP. It'll last longer that way. The Aventus, I mean. Not the arm.

I once spilled a 1ml sample of LIDG on a ledge. At the time, I thought "This would be funny if it weren't not funny at all." My bathroom smelled LIDGtastic for ages, which is fine except for the fact that I felt like, some days, my bathroom smelled better than I did. That's never a good sign.

I can feel your pain. I myself recently dropped a 1.5ml sample of Creed Royal Oud. It shattered and spilled all over the floor.

I dropped a sample vial of Aventus once, the contents all over the floor. My wife and daughter didn't say a word about smelling something. Nothing at all. Go figure.

Depends on which batch it is, but we may have to amputate.

This is a little late, but sopping up the excess with a cotton pad then using a cleansing oil followed with an exfoliating scrub to remove the possibility of being "that guy" at work or in public might work. The cotton pad would then hold onto the scent and you could tuck it into your pocket or a pillow or something. I had Chergui-soaked cotton pads in a zip lock bag that retained the scent for over a year.

That only leaves .5ml for the other arm. That is a problem.

Oh well, some days its ok to go a little light with Aventus.

That's a good idea. I'm going soak a few small cotton balls with my cheaper fragrances, and leave them in my car. Hopefully that will get rid of the smell of food.

Thank you guys for the epic replies!

    The best ones were:
    - go to a bar
    - depending on batch may need to amputate
    - only having 0.5ml for the other arm left :|

The cotton ball thing was an outstanding idea I'm sure I will use it for something at some point.

I ended up putting on the shirt I would wear to work the next day to soak up the excess. This worked really well. My entire house smelled like Aventus for the next 30 hours and I can still smell it on my arm 2 showers and 50 hours later.

I did some research and found the 2.0ml spill was equal to about 20 sprays. I'm amazed after so much it didn't bother me at all. I was just getting constant whiffs; it never annoyed me. I never experienced any fatigue either and it didn't dry down to my skin until about the 40 hour mark.

It's safe to say I will definitely need to get a bottle or 3.

THIS, THIS AND MORE OF THIS!

I really like Aventus. It doesn't bring me compliments the way it does for some people (I have other scents that are much better for compliments), but I enjoy the scent very much. One thing in particular that I love to do is spray a cotton ball with Aventus and stash it in the desk drawer where I keep my pens. 1 spray is plenty and it lasts for aaaaaages. I love getting a whiff of it when I open that drawer. Try it. You'll see
