Default kerosene whips and roses review

A rose and leather powerhouse...the fragrance name smells exactly like whats in the bottle...definite powerfull from the first wiff....this fragrance reminds me of raw leather and rose.....has almost a sewing machine oil smell to it as well.....this stuff projects HUGE and soaked through a sweater vest that i usd one spray on and is now on my t shirt underneath.....this stuff is strong...i am not a huge leather and rose fan myself.....the rose he used in this one is not a powdery candy rose type scent...it is very raw and fresh/earthy......and the leather does not smell like a leather wallet or leather shoe or leather pocketbook.......it smells like unfinished leather without any chemicals or processing...very raw.

i think someone during a review mentioned or john himself that this fragrance smells like a "biker chick in a flower shop" or something of that nature......and they are spot on......very raw fragrance
14 sprays of DRAKKAR NOIR should do it

Nice review. Sounds challenging. Any reference fragrances to which it might compare?

I feel that it is a somewhat a rougher version of Rose Ikebana.

I had a chance to smell the whole line, and I'm good with that assessment too. I like edgy women, and this stuff is erotic enough that it would be perfect for someone like that.

And the best fragrance in their line I thought.

But a bit too feminine for me. My choice would be Fields of Rubrus. Still a little fem, but quite interesting and something a guy could pull off too.

Whips and Roses is probably my favorite after R'oud Elements. And I'm totally down with all the descriptions here, including biker chick, Rose Ikebana, and the OP's review.

    Good stuff!

I strongly disliked this the first time I tried it. The top was much sharper than I expected, and it actually registered to me as cut grass for some reason. After a few wears, though, I came to enjoy it very much.
    Current Top Five:
    1. Bois des Iles--Chanel
    2. George Sand--Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier
    3. L'Ame Soeur--Divine
    4. Violet Blonde--Tom Ford
    5. Santal Blush--Tom Ford
